Q: Has owning an e-bike changed your car driving habits?

Sadly I need a van to carry out my work, but I have started to leave the van on site, and just ride in to and home from work as often as possible. I now turn a 2 mile drive into a 10 plus mile off road adventure each day. Today it was pouring hard with rain, long grass was making my legs...

Sadly I have yet to find anyone that has pulled the battery down and rebuilt it.

    KTM is seeking eBike ambassadors

Over here you can either order parts via a shop or direct, with the parts being sent out from the nearest dealer. It is a very efficient service, and no, there are no long delays or waiting for parts. KTM just wanted to make sure that I had the mech hanger the next day from ordering, rather...

    KTM is seeking eBike ambassadors

MLB what I am unsure of, is what does being a KTM Ambassador actually mean/entail? KTM Bike Industries UK are highly active, both by offering support, engaging in forum topics, online advice, and prompt efficient service*. They are also highly pro active in respect of social media ie Facebook...

    Bosch ebike system reliability

NoDTMF, the weak point is the outer bearing on the sprocket side of the motor.

    Swiss trip 2016

Sorry I managed to screw the original doarama up when I edited it. I now have the hang of it though. :) My camera has now turned up, so I have the last two days of holiday photos. :) This was the last ride of the trip. But these were some of the photos that I was most annoyed about...

    Bosch 20t front sprocket

If your are running a post Classic Line Bosch motor system, then your front sprocket won't be aluminium. It wouldn't last the first ride.

    ktm macina lycan 27 gps+

Hi Paul. You will get used to the gear change. I now find it relatively seamless, but only relatively. The key is pre empting each change before you require it, and slow the pedal stroke accordingly. I tend to use a Muc Off wet lube, and also carry a small tube in my back pack as well. The...

    Eurobike 2016 news thread

The perfect place to have the battery swimming in mud and water. Big fail with that design. At least Stromer haven't done anything radical, and still look to be producing lovely well designed bike. :) .

    YOU, the customer.

Ensuring that the bike is fit for it's intended purpose and component spec needs to be added to your first list. Along with the motor system, those two are my key purchase points. In respect of the second list, I prefer to shop locally if possible, and whilst I carry out pretty much all of my...

    eMTB off road photo thread.

High Ann, it is a Fenix BT20. :) I also have several cheap Cree lights sitting around unused, as the Fenix is my go to light. The spread of beam is the sole reason that I use it, as seemingly most lights are a spot beam, which does nothing to highlight any hidden danger to the sides, and being...

    Upgrade to 2.8 tyre

Sorry Ravi, I deleted on the cross over of your reply, when I realised that you were talking high volume. :) I don't think that there is a glitch with Strava, as my ebike rides are now showing KOM's as well. I suspect that there is now a catch up where ebike KOM's are slowly being registered...

Which motor is best for hills?

I can't answer for you as a rider or the terrain that you happen to ride on, but I wouldn't swap my Bosch CX for anything else, and have an endless amount of ride stats to show what the can reliably achieve using the Bosch system.

Now that the Swiss trip is just a distant memory, it is time to get out riding local trails again. A friend is now considering buying KTM hardtail, so yesterday morning provided the ideal opportunity to take both bikes out for a play. With the evenings quickly drawing in, it won't be long...

    Kalkhoff vs Pedego

Personally I wouldn't want to risk my money buying one, but one thing that could or rather should be taken into account is that whilst very lengthy discussion, ranting and threats of court cases are being raised, proportionally I do wonder how many motor units have actually failed. I haven't...
