Check out Bosch or Brose. You are lucky to live near Seattle Electric Bike, where you can test drive a variety (and I'm sure they can help point you in the right direction).
I can't answer for you as a rider or the terrain that you happen to ride on, but I wouldn't swap my Bosch CX for anything else, and have an endless amount of ride stats to show what the can reliably achieve using the Bosch system.
