Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I very much agree. The 35/35 default setting is too modest. I’m using 40/65 for Eco. More power throughout my natural power range, less usage of Trail which I set to 65/85.

Some are adjustable. Some are not. Depends which one you buy.

Need opinions from Creo and Vado SL riders

I own both. Same motor. Same mileage and power, though the Vado SL weighs a few pounds more. Aside from the geometry, the experience and capabilities are nearly identical. As you note, the Creo is a drop bar road bike and the Vado is a flat bar, upright ride, but I ride the Creo mostly on the...

    Specialized Vado SL 5.0

My Stromer ST2 also surges at very low cadence + high power. But the bike is 60+ lbs. so I hardly notice it. The rider isn’t a bystander. If you’re going to toddle along, put it in Eco or off.

    Specialized Vado SL 5.0

Mine is also jerky in turbo at very slow speeds, like maintaining 2 mph on flat pavement in turbo. I just don’t do that anymore. It does accelerate smoothly from a dead stop at a red light in turbo. It just doesn’t like tottering along holding so much power in check. I’m fine with that. That’s...

Does the Creo’s Roval Terra CLX rear wheel have an XDR driver?

I was wrong about telling the derailleur which cassette is installed via the app. That’s on the website, so it can display your logged gear shifts with the correct labels. It looks like a 12 speed derailleur needs a 12 cog cassette.

Does the Creo’s Roval Terra CLX rear wheel have an XDR driver?

No change for me. I ride gravel in hilly country. I put 44mm tubeless tires on it. I’m in the 50t gear occasionally and happy to have it. The derailleur may work. You could shorten the 12 speed chain, which is narrower than an 11 speed chain. Depends on your cassette. I upgraded my Salsa...

Does the Creo’s Roval Terra CLX rear wheel have an XDR driver?

Then you’re XDR. I have one myself. You’ll enjoy it. Quite a machine.

Does the Creo’s Roval Terra CLX rear wheel have an XDR driver?

The Roval Terra CLX wheels only come with the S-Works Creo. The 2020 S-Works Creo is equipped with a Shimano 11 speed drivetrain, so no XDR. The 2021 comes with a SRAM AXS Eagle mullet 12 speed drivetrain, which requires/comes with the XDR driver body. It comes with a SRAM Eagle 10-50 cassette...

We have an air fryer! Makes great French fries. I was skeptical at first, but my wife thought it was a good idea and she’s right. She even bakes cookies in it.

    New Puncture Proof X-Tubo Tube

For the thumb tacks, it is most likely the Schwalbe tires. The nails though would have penetrated the tire, with the tube saving the day. Tubolito did have a lot of commenters complaining about faulty valves when the original inner tubes were introduced. I have the originals as spares since...

Are RIDES in Mission Control backed up in some way or some place

There is actually an import option in 3.7.3. It is on one of the many screens that are confusing to get to, has no name, and moving “back” from it frequently takes you to a screen that you didn’t come from. At the bottom of the unnamed screen is an option called, “Add/Delete/Rename GPX on MAP.”...

US Apple App Store shows v3.7.3 as the latest. There is no backup and restore option on my BLEvo app either.

You can auto-back it up to Strava for free, with no effort, and continue to never use Strava forever — until you need access to the archives.

Another way is to have BLEvo automatically sync each ride to Strava. It saves the battery data as the Strava description.

Triage or Emergency Medical Kit for biking Recommendation?

That’s actually a big item for bike storage, and more than you’ll need for a crash event. I just select the essentials for a single event or two, put them into a ziplock, and slide them into whatever I’m using for storage that day. The first aid baggie is completely flat and goes nearly...

CATL will start mass producing sodium-ion batteries

You say that like it’s a good thing. Why would anyone want an inflammable battery? That’s already a problem with many lithium battery formulations.

Triage or Emergency Medical Kit for biking Recommendation?

I've done exactly that. I had to walk two miles down a mountain bike trail with my arm in a tube sling. My buddy walked the bikes out. We drove an hour to the nearest hospital. The doc checked for concussion; my helmet was smashed, I was knocked unconscious, and I had seen stars. Other than the...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Two hours 35 minutes for the main SL battery. Three hours 20 minutes for the RE. Or 3h 20m to charge both at the same time. I haven’t used a stopwatch, that’s just what Specialized says, if charging time is important to you.
