Well, the verdict from Gazelle is in. They declined the claim my LBS opened to cover the battery rack failure under their 10 year frame warranty, The regular warranty on my 2017 Arroyo is expired, and unlike the previous poster in this thread, they would not cover it with the longer frame...

I am going to resurrect this old thread. As mentioned in my earlier post, I was able to make a repair that has worked very well (probably stronger and more stable than a new rack), so I have not pursued a warranty claim with Gazelle for the battery rack failure. But I took my bike into my LBS...

Many variables affect range besides the battery capacity ... wind, assist level, elevation changes, road/trail surface. I can get 65 to 80 miles on my Gazelle Arroyo with the 500 battery using Eco mode on a relatively flat paved trail and mild or no wind.

I have never been too concerned that Evelo will help me while the product is still under warranty. My worry is what happens when it needs out-of-warranty repair/service.

I hope someone in your area comes forward and gives you an opportunity to test ride the Omega. Of course, your other option is just to take a chance on the Omega and rely on Evelo's warranty and return policy if you are unhappy with your purchase. If you do decide to proceed with the purchase...
