Also if you're fading you should make sure you have fresh, properly bled, good brake fluid.

R&M Bosch power socket rubber cap - design flaw

Looks like it needs an actual hinge…? One of those open hinges where you can pop it off and back in which you see regularly in plastic - I’m certain someone with a 3D printer could design that if they had the base object to start from. In the absence of a design with that, maybe just adhere...

    Hitch mount rack for Load60?

P.S.--> My familiarity with these comes from the recumbent world, where folks with long wheelbase recumbent bikes have the same issue, and likewise for folks with tandems (I have two recumbent trikes and a tandem as well). If you spend time Googling around on it, look for long wheelbase...

    Hitch mount rack for Load60?

I think the hardest thing is that these things are sufficiently long that carrying them width wise will make them wider than your car, which makes it tricky to drive around with them. I have a Load 75 showing up imminently and I’m only confident I’ll be able to carry it around because I have a...

    Hitch mount rack for Load60?

If the wheelbase is under 74” I think you should be able to use a Hitchrider rack? In the alternative Draftmaster also makes racks that allow you to carry the bike vertically rather than horizontally?

    Time from order to delivery.

My Load 75 was originally scheduled for the week of November 1 per the R&M web site, but it now shows September 13-17 - last week! I’m holding my breath hoping this is not an error and my bike is now on its way to me only 5-6 weeks after ordering… EDIT: I should add that I paid for air...

Why did you buy a Riese & Müller?

LOL, too true! I’ve seen a few of these guys around - my current ride is a BMW C650GT and I Investigated a dog seat for it but I’m actually thinking of swapping it for a Ural. The main thing that has kept me from it so far is actually the noise, not wanting to subject Arrow to that level of...

Why did you buy a Riese & Müller?

😂 Indeed it does. I don’t think my 85 lb. Labrador Retriever would quite fit in there but I’m guessing he’d be willing to try!

Why did you buy a Riese & Müller?

You definitely can actually get other front box/platform cargo bikes with Gates+IGH combos, esp. if you're ok with the Enviolo and don't insist on the wider range of the Rohloff (heck, one of my other Rohloff bikes actually has a Schlumpf drive too for when I have a tail wind 😁). I actually...

Why did you buy a Riese & Müller?

I have a few bikes and had ridden a few different cargo bikes over the years but even though I was sold on the concept, none of the bikes I rode had really clicked for me. I got a service dog in May (or to be more precise, he finally came home to me after two years of training), and have been...

Riese and Muller Load 75 Rack Dimensions

Fair enough! I mention just as an FYI, as ergonomics are obviously super personal. 🙂 That said, it didn’t feel too radical to me (I’ve also ridden 140mm, which was a bigger change, 155-160 seemed like a happy medium), and the advantage in this case is that it tucks your feet in both at the...

Riese and Muller Load 75 Rack Dimensions

Have you considered shorter crank arms? (I have 155s on a couple of my bikes and they reduce leverage a tad so I don’t think I’d go that way for a non-assisted mountain bike but they do actually help with spinning if you’re naturally a masher.)

Can you not loop the bottom strap through the little hook hole at the bottom of the luggage carrier? (Wrong place on the bag?)

Riese and Muller Load 75 Rack Dimensions

Thanks! BTW, just for perspective on the heel strike issue, does this ever happen to you with the Bedrocks? (And I don't suppose you have size 14 feet... 🤣 )

Riese and Muller Load 75 Rack Dimensions

Interesting, this is useful information, thanks! (I also went with the dual battery setup.) I’ll have to pay more attention than I was to horizontal width to make sure I can hang them at the rear of the rack. Speaking of where that battery is, are there bottle cage mounts on the other side...

Riese and Muller Load 75 Rack Dimensions

Thanks! I’ll give them a look - I’m thinking about just using some Arkel Haul-Its so I can just throw my backpack and randomness in and if it sticks out, no problem. (I do the same with the Ortlieb Back Rollers on one of my trikes - sometimes I buy enough groceries that I end up pedaling home...

I'm guessing you got your bike by now, what panniers did you end up using? Any dealer (or other) recommendations?

Riese & Muller 2022 models. Rumors?

It appears to me that the Load 75 has been increased in price on the site just slightly ($130 USD increase for the HS Rohloff model I have on order, just over 1% increase) already.

Riese & Muller 2022 models. Rumors?

I’m not the person you were asking and can’t speak to combos with ebikes (yet), but I already have two Rohloff bikes, one of them 14 years old and with 20k miles or more on it. Both hubs have been totally trouble free and in fact gotten better with time, the one with more mileage is virtually...

    Load 60/75 Storage Customizations

Hi all, first post here. I have a Load 75 on order for carrying my service dog when I ride, hopefully to arrive in November, and my first pre-arrival mod was to order a custom cushion for him from cushionsource.com - you can provide a template for custom cushion shapes and I thought about doing...
