Vado SL and Vado SL EQ are Now Available in Step-Thru Frames!

Here the opposite, the dealer asked us yesterday more or less: "These SL ebikes are really great, especially for light riders like you and compared to your old ebike. But you don't seem that happy?" ;-) My wife likes her things and uses them ususally as long a possible and doesn't like changes...

Stem/Handlebar Rise On Vado 4EQ SL:

Now we are in the same boat... ;-) I bought a stem riser and a handle bar with more rise, backsweep and upsweep myself (as we were waiting 6 weeks for LBS "A" to do this and nothing happened...). Now LBS "B" installed it yesterday and today my wife tried it and gave it a thumbs up and we...

Vado SL and Vado SL EQ are Now Available in Step-Thru Frames!

Number three is here! Vado SL ST 4.0 EQ size S in raspberry Well, almost... They need to change one hydraulic wire(?) next week, then we can fetch it. My wife tried Como SL and Vado SL ST almost 7 weeks ago. She felt fine on the Como SL, but as she is very small and slim, the Como seems a...

Is the Creo the lightest bike with Class 3 and assist buttons?

You should add, that you're talking about a US Creo Version, only sold in the US. Unfortunately there's no 28mph Creo in the rest of the world, normally only 16mph and 20mph in very few countries like Canada. Also I wouldn't compare a standard/mass ebike with an indidivual luxury high-end...

Specialized Turbo Creo 28mph Electric Road Bike

The main differences are the Di2 and as you said the wheels. If you like Di2 and the wheels fit well for you (the wouldn't for me) you can go for the Expert. You will NOT really feel the difference in the climbs (especially not with Di2... ;-) ), but it's often a good feeling with better stuff...

Stem/Handlebar Rise On Vado 4EQ SL:

I believe you, just convience the LBS here as well BEFORE we buy the Vado SL... ;-)

Stem/Handlebar Rise On Vado 4EQ SL:

We wouldn't care about $40 or $100 more for the change, if we already bought a Vado. But we would like to be sure and to test ride the bike with the changes before we buy it. Some years ago a LBS did this changes for free on handle bar, stem and saddle or seat post even on bikes below $1000...

Stem/Handlebar Rise On Vado 4EQ SL:

Funny that you started this thread exactly while we have the same problem for a Vado SL ST for my wife. She likes the Vado SL (ST), actually perhaps the most suited ebike for her (small&slim): But the low&stretched position of the handle bar is terrible for her. She tried the Como SL and felt...

Vado SL 4.0 Motor cuts out in Turbo

Good to hear that it's not normal and the dealer has an idea. I thought something is wrong with my feeling. I tried yesterday on my way home on all uphills what I normally never do: Level 3 AND pedaling, then suddenly stopping, pedaling, pedaling again, stopping, pedaling and so on. I found out...

Turbo Creo SL Expert Evo/Road Info.

Of course, but this is true for ANY ebike compared to a lighter bike without motor, no matter if the ebike is 10, 20 or 30 lbs heavier. I think the special "position" of new ebikes with assist drive like Creo or Vado SL is worth a precise description, what it's like and what you can expext. Your...

Turbo Creo SL Expert Evo/Road Info.

Motor/motor support does not equal weight difference between bikes or ebikes. If so my 27-28kg Stromer should feel the same with motor support or even "lighter" as my 13kg Creo. And that's definitely not the case. So the Creo never feels as light as a Diverge in handling/agility, but not that...

Vado SL 4.0 Motor cuts out in Turbo

Maybe it depends also on the way you pedal or stop pedaling. I'm normally pedaling constantly and longer "pedaling breaks" only if it's going down. I'm almost never swapping every few seconds between pedaling and pausing, so I don't know for sure how the SL drive reacts here. But even with...

Vado SL 4.0 Motor cuts out in Turbo

This might be strange for someone new to ebikes but as NormL already knows a normal Vado I wonder why the SL surprises him here. I know quite a few ebikes (not the normal Vado/the Brose motors yet) and I never felt the SL characteristics strange or different to other ebikes, more the opposite...

Question for Specialized SL 1.1 motor owners

Forget the Mission Control Screenshot photo and "Acceleration Response" in my last post. There is no feature like this for SL, this is only for non-SL drives... :-(

Vado SL 4.0 - How much off road?

If it is like this, I can understand anyone prefering tubes. My experiences are almost the opposite in about 2 1/4 years tubeless on two gravel bikes and four wheelsets and altogether maybe 4500km tubeless (not sooo much experience of course). On the first one (normal gravel bike) the...

Turbo Creo SL Expert Evo/Road Info.

Not everyone feels the same, I don't need the remote buttons, I prefer the clean look without them. Also you need them less often on a 25km/h limited Creo, where you need to change the levels less often, as you are often riding over the limit/without motor. On those Creos you normally stay in...

Vado SL 4.0 - How much off road?

I guess this depends on tire, surface and (maybe) rider weight. For me it's the opposite, the recommended minimum pressure of most of my gravel tires is to high offorad (even with my actual weight of 100kg). The tires don't offer good grip and feel "bouncy". Much better with lower pressure, what...

Question for Specialized SL 1.1 motor owners

You are thinking to much in settings like our Stromer bikes... ;-) But it's not correct for Stromer bikes that they simply give more or less power only due to the sensiblity of the torque sensor. This changes only the point/the force in the crank/on the chain, where the motor starts to support...

Vado SL 4.0 - How much off road?

"Better" in what sense? What do you expect from tubeless? Tubeless ist great for wider tires&offroad, where it offers the posibility for less pressure without more punctures and low rolling resistance and also less (tiny) punctures from thornes/stones/snake bites. It goes along with more work&a...

Specialized Creo (all models) - Longest Rides/Biggest Climbs

Unfortunately I've never done bikepacking, just normal vaccations with (standard) bikes with normal bags like Ortlieb backrollers. The usual gravel description is "Go anywhere bike". For my case/the paths in Germany (and I guess in most parts of Europe) this is a perfect description. With race...
