Replacement Cranks for Bosch Gen 3 Performance Line Motor?

Thanks, Miranda is pretty much the only one besides FSA. That micro ISIS spline on the spindle is not that common. Gen 4 has a lot of choices since it uses the standard ISIS spline on the spindle.

Switched to an e-bike. It took me too long to smarten up.

Is that like a walk in tub? Seriously, One of the best bikes I ever had was a girls 10 speed. It rode super fast and cornered excellent

    Best Seattle R&M service

Great to hear. I am going in to Dandelion to have cranks put on to reduce the Q factor from 180 to 170mm. Although I am in the San Juan, and there is a bike shop, I would rather have Vann do it. BTW on seats, I was looking at my Brooks B17, and what was interesting is it flexes probably...

    Mirror Recommendations

Here is a fancy end bar one. I got a 20.00 cheap one from amazon, but I think I will upgrade to this sometime. Berthoud Bar-End Mirror, Mk II | Rene Herse Cycles

What's the best way to check my spokes?

Just remember spoke adjustments change the side to side pull AND the up-down amount. It is not a simple deal to make a wheel true from scratch. So trueing should be done very carefully.

    Tubeless tyres

Oops sorry I got the 38s and 32s. I run both tubeless. I ride mostly chip seal and some gravel, so I use the 38s mostly. The corner well because they are nicely rounded shape and the side treads work well when you tip over. I have not done cornering over 30 mph because I don't ride that...

    Tubeless tyres

Lots of choices. Panaracer makes great tires. Great value. I want some Rene Herse ultralights in the 32-40, but those are high end. You can read about tires and width on their site (RH). I run Panaracer 34s at 28psi. Faster than 40 psi by a lot.

Also know that the assist levels vary based on the motor-programing. Some are customizable. For knees, a faster pedal rate of 70-80 rpm (cadence) is less of a grind than slower of 40-50 rpm. WELCOME!

Plastic Pedros, but can't figure out how the other end (non spoon side) is supposed to be used!

    Avid cyclist learning about e-bikes

Q factor being the width of the cranks. With narrow hips, this will be an issue. Also note there are a lot of replacement cranks for MTBs and they tend to offer shorter lengths in the 165 and 160 length. Standard will be 170 length on most of the bikes you get stock.

    Avid cyclist learning about e-bikes

Check the Q Factor on all of them. Smallest I think is 170 with Shimano motor. Each bike will be different depending on the motor and crank combination. My Moustache Dimanche 29.5 came in at 185, but I am changing the cranks so it is 175. BTW: Moustache makes higher end bikes in your range...

    Tire balancing beads?

In another post he said it was a wobble at 20 mph. So something harmonic? Usually improper seating is a bump. I would reseat the tire or swap front and back as a test. After of course looking for a visual abnormality. A warped or bent rim is bad in that whatever caused it needs to be found...

    Tire balancing beads?

If you need to do this something is not right. Even the cheapest tires-rims-wheels are well balanced if correct. What is the exact issue?

    rail trails across USA

I can highly recommend the "avenue of the giants" in CA (Humboldt Co.) by bike. although there is traffic, you really can see the size of the redwood trees. Also the Lost Coast, in that area is pretty cool.

    Posture help needed!

Also remember you ride on the bike versus sit on the bike. That means you legs often are lifting or relieving the pressure on your sit bones. If you watch carefully, you will see experienced cyclist look like they are walking on the bike versus sitting and pedaling. A good saddle and proper...

    E-bike riding instruction and tips

That is a gem of a wife! Yes +1 replace the helmet. I fell in a parking lot in Japan just walking in the dark on ice. And this after skiing 4 days in the back country and through numerous dangerous conditions. Hit my head and was impaired seriously for about 9 weeks and about 9 months...

    Cycle friendly streets ?

Seattle did a good job imo. You can even vote for which streets to make permanent. Interestingly, voting works. Give the city feedback and they listen. A lot of people use them. So much nicer especially since it is VERY dark now.

Choosing efficient clothing for your bike tour

Nice list. I would add, often one encounters wet and/or windy but not cold during spring-fall-summer riding. I have worn a lot of shells over shorts and short sleeve shirts. This is very different from wet-windy and COLD, preparations.
