They are from same company. It depends on what motor and display/bike manufacturer you have to what module you need. For example the greenped is for the Yamaha synchdrive c motor which is a Yamaha pw motor. The redped is for a Yamaha pw motor with a Yamaha display.

I have a giant dirt E+2 2016. Yamaha syncdrive C. Speedbox 2 - Tried 2 boxes. Both switched bike off randomly so I returned them. Speed display was erratic. I believe others have had better experiences. Badass box - Worked well. Shows half the speed on the display. Now have Greenped...

Just bought the Schwalbe Marathon Plus for my Giant dirt E+2. had the supreme versions but have had 3 punctures in the last month.

I have tried 2 speedbox 2 dongles on my giant dirt E+2 2016. both switched the bike off during riding. Now using the greenped module and its awesome.

So my greenped dongle has arrived. Its a plug in module that goes between the motor connections and the speed sensor. It has bluetooth so you download an app which you use to set the parameters. So far it's great. better than the speedbox 2 which I tried 2 of and both switched the bike off...

I live in the Uk and am happy for them to service my motor if it means I get peace of mind. They are one of the only places doing this and get motors from all over the world. You wouldn't believe how many people pressure wash their e bikes.

I have the nut version on my motor (synchdrive C) so sadly that one wont work. The torque needed means its easy for a socket to slip off. It was worth it buying that tool. I know its expensive but its really so easy to do the job now.

I have converted my giant dirt E+2 to a single chainring setup (44 tooth). I had to use 2mm spacers on the spider to move the chainring over so to be able to fit a chain guide correctly. I swapped the chainring bolts from single to double to account for the spacers.

My next e bike would ideally be a DIY job. Didn't really know much about the diy side if things when I got the giant. It's such a nice bike though.
