    R1UP waterproofed wiring/connections on 700?

This subject makes me disappointed. Acroding to ride1up, " The bikes are not water-proof, they are water-resistant." .... While we do not recommend... riding in the rain.... the bikes can handle water exposure." The aventon level and r1u 700 are the same bike. aventon says their bike battery...

How many here are waiting for Sep 15 ship dates?

Keep in mind I'm in the container before yours, Aug. 30th. I got my notice mines shipping next week. Right now, their running about two weeks a head of time. As they get caught up, could even be sooner for the September 15 date. Don't want to mess anyone up if it doesn't, but I liked hearing...

Max Programable Speed Not As High As Claimed?

Thank you for the replies. Weight of the rider, what gear you’re in, how fast you’re paddling, etc. doesn’t matter if the controls set a max speed at 25 when they advertise 28. When I bought my bike I was kind of nervous and sent them a bunch of emails. I was trying to give them a break and...

Max Programable Speed Not As High As Claimed?

This makes me really mad. I had it down between a level 2, rad city 4, 20 mph. Or the R1u 700, level 3, 28mph. You can go into the controls and put the rad bike up to 25. The few mile per hour difference is what tipped me in favor of the 700. I figured my rad friends would be going 25 and...

Best Places To Buy Ebike Parts and Accessories

Years a go I found a place on the internet that sells car parts at about wholesale prices. Super good selections, good service and quality pats, cheap (rockauto.com). Is there a place that would be the rockauto of ebikes? Thank you, Roger accessories

    Ride1up vs Rad

This is the main question for me in ebikes. I've done extensive research on this very question. I found, the answer is, you will be happy with either one. Both have pros and cons, about equal. If you raise an issue, there's an answer for that both ways. Right now, there is a huge Rad...

Max Programable Speed Not As High As Claimed?

As I'm waiting for my 700 to arrive, been looking at the manual online to learn about it before I get it. Under "Speed setting" it says, "Speed limit range is 12Km/h to 40Km/h." 40Km/h is 24.8mph." Ride1up advertises 28mph. Not only that, it comes at a "Default Value" at 25Km/h. That is...

Best, easiest, cheapest way to get rid of regen on a Radcity 4

Thank you for all the reply's. Without knowing, I in my mind, I thought riding along at say, 15mph, if you stopped peddling, the bike would just slow down to a stop at say 15ft. That isn't the exact distance, just putting into words my imagination. Glad it's not that bad.

Best, easiest, cheapest way to get rid of regen on a Radcity 4

Thank you for the reply, I saw a video that the magnets are closer together on the direct drive so that's where the drag comes from. The controller won't effect how close the magnets are in the hub. They even say that if you go down a long steep hill, you only put back 2% to the battery at...

Best, easiest, cheapest way to get rid of regen on a Radcity 4

Almost ready to get the radcity 4. Have had my heart set on radbike for a year, but the city has regen. I saw on videos where the wheel has a lot of drag when coasting. It may not matter to others, but for me that's ridiculous. If I made a bike and someone wanted to make it so when you...
