Thanks Lloyd. You inspired me to do the same to ride some of many trail rides here in New Zealand. I now have two set ups, one for commuting and one for offroad. This makes the Vado a very versatile bike.

I purchased a second larger 604w battery for my vado 3. Slots right in no problem. I carry the second battery with me on my longer rides.

I too had issues in the rain. Once the bike just stopped also I couldn't turn the bike on or off. Turns out its water seeping in between the display and mount. I ran insulation tape around the edge of the display and mount and never had a issue again, even in heavy rain.

The size i have are the 47-622. They are harder to put on the rim but i managed without tools.

I thought the wear rate on the stock tyres was high. I swapped out to the marathon plus tyres and never looked back. Have done 4000km km on them and they still look new.
