I suppose you can always get the accessories cheaper elsewhere, but I was pretty happy with the cargo package for $149. Getting the similar front rack and front & rear baskets from Radpowerbikes would cost ~$300.
If enough people are willing to pay more and consume less, that I am sure an all make in USA component ebike is possible. It is also better for the environment if things are not shipped half way around the world.

That's great! Along with the bigger chainwheel, peddling at top PAS should be fine. Hope to get mine in a month, if all goes according to what they said. Can't wait.
