Don't charge your bike battery above 80% and don't ride below 20%. Maybe, maybe not.

Chargers have slightly different alogrithims but all lithium cells are charged w/ the same protocol. Constant current, increasing voltage to peak voltage then decreasing current and constant voltage until fully charged so actually the end result is the same. :)

Don't charge your bike battery above 80% and don't ride below 20%. Maybe, maybe not.

It's not a trickle charge after 80%.. The charger switches from constant current and increasing voltage to constant voltage and decreasing current at approx 80%.. All lithium chargers work this way

Mandatory helmet laws put cyclists at greater risk.. LOL..

    Helmets...Wear Them!!!

A future where helmets aren't seen as necessary?.. Maybe if all the bike paths are padded. :)

    Helmets...Wear Them!!!

Hey, don't wear your seat belt and disable your airbags too. No-one's going to tell YOU how to lower your risk of injury. Got it

    Helmets...Wear Them!!!

How do you manage your ability to safely pursue anything when you are in the air falling off your bike? Your daily living skills will be dramatically compromised with traumatic brain injury. No "high ground" here, just common sense

    Helmets...Wear Them!!!

The tone seems to be that wearing a helmet is somehow infringing on personal rights. I wouldn't tell anyone what to do but I do suggest a good medical insurance policy if you ride w/o a helmet, one that covers long term care

    Haibike help choosing

Already bought the bike and have over 1,000mi. on it now with no issues (knock on wood).. I ended up with the trekking 6.0 since my wife wanted an ebike too and she won't ride off pavement. I hate to hear stories like yours and I bought mine at a dealership just so I'd have someone to go to bat...

    Helmets...Wear Them!!!

Some people end up breaking their necks because they were wearing a helmet ( or so the choice crowd says) so no-one should ever wear one because this happened one or two times? Support choice? If you choose not to wear a helmet, you should also choose a very good insurance policy so taxpayers...

    EBike Shaming

I posted this before but our ebike group stopped for a photo on the heritage trail (sleeping bear dunes MI). We asked a roadie to take our picture as their group was also stopped at the same spot. We were all smiling standing next to our bikes waiting for the photo to be taken and one of the...

    EBike Shaming

I can't let enough people ride our ebikes just to see the ear to ear grin and the "I have to get one of these!" comments after just a short ride. NO-ONE has ever said "oh, I don't like this"

    EBike Shaming

It's all making America great again Afren. The upside is that bullet proof vests are becoming fashionable and less expensive (except for the ones that come from China)

    EBike Shaming

I don't feel any shame for riding my ebike, I smile the whole time but dealing with roadies spitting on my front wheel? I'm certainly not to blame for that and the attitudes that go with it

How many times have you heard "that's cheating!"? ?

Just for fun on our last e-bike ride on a popular multi use path I started yelling "CHEATER!" to other e-bikes as I passed them, or they passed me on my e-bike.. The confused looks I got were great with a few just laughing and others saying "on really? you're riding one too" When that happened...

So, how many miles do you get on a charge?

When I bought my trekking Haibike I thought I would need a second battery for long rides. WRONG. My butt gives out before the battery does. I can now stretch my range to 50+mi. as I'm in better shape than when I first got the bike and have learned how to get the best efficiency from the gears...
