    Rover rear wheel removal

@Chopperbill I think you're referring to the torque arm. You definitely need to put that back in place. It keeps the motor from spinning inside your dropouts.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus a lot worse than stock Kenda tires!

The Schwalbe feels like it has a harder compound than the stock Kendas. Just like in auto racing, softer tires = better grip. I suppose it comes down to whether you 1) believe the Schwalbes actually provide more puncture protection 2) are willing to trade handling performance for that...

NEW Juiced Models: Rip Current, and Cross Current X; Tariff Pricing Announced

I guess the downside would be decreased range. There's no way I wouldn't take advantage of the increased power.

NEW Juiced Models: Rip Current, and Cross Current X; Tariff Pricing Announced

I wonder if I can do this with my gen1 Air? hmmmmm...

    very long monthly commute

I think for that type of distance, you'll need more than 2 bosch batteries. Unless you're looking to use very little assist. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken. You have to factor in things like wind, gradual reduction in battery capacity, or lower temperates (mid 50's and lower). Those will...

    Folding and/or commuting ebike suggestions

I have a Blix Vika+ with almost 2K miles, and I'm your height. No complaints. I recommend getting a suspension seatpost for a 20" wheel, unless you're riding on silky smooth pavement. If you have long legs, go for a 450mm seatpost. Electric bikes are heavy, so it's kind of a pain loading them in...

Unstable tight turns with R&M Supercharger?

Probably due to the increased weight and higher center of gravity, compared to a road bike. Both my ebikes definitely handle tight turns different than my road bike does.

30 miles commute, confused between hub vs mid-drive

If you're that far away from a local bike shop, I'd suggest that you accept becoming comfortable with doing a lot of your own bike maintenance, no matter which model you buy. You may also want to remember that these are bicycles, not motorcycles, so you'll have to pedal hard at times...

Looking to get a Thudbuster LT for CCS. Unsure what size diameter for seatpost?

I use the Thudbuster LT on my CC Air. It made a huge difference. And yes, 27.2.

    cross current s question(s)

I've taken my 350w first gen CC Air up Cougar Mountain, and all over Seattle. You will have to work, but you won't work up a sweat.

New Cross Current S - Gear Skipping

In my experience, it takes a few days for an order to ship from them, so in your case I'm more surprised the bike shipped that fast. Don't worry, they'll get the adapter to you.

    new rad city issues

I don't have a RadCity, but I do have 2 hardtail ebikes which I ride on pretty bumpy paths and roads. The first suspension seatpost I bought was cheap ($20-30), and it helped a little, but not a lot. Then, I decided to splurge on a LT thudbuster. It made a world of difference. You may also want...

Where E-bikes are Made, and Why it's Important

Interesting article, but it does seem more like an advertisement for the super expensive brands. I see people everyday with relatively cheap ebikes, I would guess with parts from China, and they love them. I don't know where Rad Power sources their materials, but I know people around here who...

    My RipCurrent S Experience

I love my 19.2 battery, and bike. But in full disclosure, it took about 2 weeks after I got the battery for me to get the adapter. I still had the original battery, so I could charge that. I was close to ordering this, and just swapping the end of the juiced charger with the XLR part.

So what bike does Court ride?

I heard he rides a fixed gear, because he thinks ebikes are cheating.

    Riese & Muller Tinker

That's good to hear. Thanks for the info as well. I'll keep the tinker on my possible next bike list.

Did you ever get this resolved? If so, how do you like the high speed version? What's your max comfortable speed? Range?

    Crazy Stupid Commute

I believe the 13 and 19.2 are different weights, so you could just put the battery on a scale. That info was somewhere on the juiced site.

    Crazy Stupid Commute

If you've already built your own bike, I'd recommend getting the CCS. Most people who are comfortable tinkering with their bikes seem happy with it. Plus, your LBS already said they had no problem assisting if needed. For the difference in price, you could buy any out of warranty replacement...

SF commute bike (8.8 roundtrip, hills, 2nd floor apartment)?

Depending on what else you plan to do with the bike (and your height), I'd say look at the Blix Vika Travel. It's aboud 40 pounds, folds, has a throttle, and an internal gear hub. Downsides would be no rack or fenders, and the seatpost isn't terribly long. It has 16 inch wheels like a Brompton...
