    SuperCommuter Mods

I bought my bike brand new a few months ago, so pretty sure my bike is a 2018. The thru axle is stock, and it looks the same as the one in your photo to me. Here is a close-up of the front thru axle.

Figured I would post all the mods. Please note the bike rack pictures are older than others. Also I was right about the weight limit of 33 lbs for the rack. Mods/equipment: Kuat NV 2.0 (With a strap on the front wheel I made the bike very secure even with the fender installed. This picture was...

I think it fits perfectly, really my only complaint is that it doesn't have the fancy quick release system like the ones you are looking at. It has two clips that go over the bar, and a Velcro strap at the bottom. I usually just clip it in and don't bother with the strap, haven't had any...

I am using two of the Bontrager Town Shopper Large, which gives me about 55L of storage. Since I am using this bike for work commuting, the extra space comes in handy when I need to bring a lot of clothes to handle the cold morning commute, warm afternoon commute, and my work clothes. I believe...

    Sold

Looking at my bike and your photo, it seems like someone placed a big black sticker there and then tried to remove it? Maybe yours is an older model than mine and they changed that area, but it just looks really weird compared to my supercommuter 8.

    Chain breaking constantly?

Just curious, does your LBS sell bikes with a mid drive motor as powerful as the one you have? I can understand hub motors being 1000W+, but with a mid drive putting all that energy and torque through a bike chain designed around humans seems like a great way to break chains. The more common mid...

    Specialized Turbo Como 3.0

Another thing you can try is adjusting the saddle height, position, and angle. It might not fully solve your problem, but it should help. I am not sure if this rule applies to cruiser bikes, but for mountain/road bikes generally a good place to start is a level saddle at a height that gives you...

    Specialized Turbo Como 3.0

Cruiser style saddles and bikes are generally not comfortable for such long distances. One thing that might help is getting a suspension seatpost (Body float is a really nice one). This will stop most of the constant pounding/vibrating from your seat to your butt, which could improve comfort. I...

You should try the classifieds section of the forum: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/forum/fsbo/ If you don't mind me asking though, why are you selling it?

Getting ready to take the leap

If you haven't already, go to your local bike shop and test ride a few bikes. Even if you don't plan on buying the bikes you test ride, getting a feel of the different motors and styles of e-bike is worth it. Ideally you can find one with the same motor as the Riese Muller Nevo GH Nuvinci (A...

Anyone Else Eliminate non throttle bikes? low top end?

Court lists it as a class 2/4 https://electricbikereview.com/evelo/delta-x/

Anyone Else Eliminate non throttle bikes? low top end?

Ah, you mentioned the Delta and I think one other one a little while back, and both of those can be class 4.

Anyone Else Eliminate non throttle bikes? low top end?

Class 2 also means throttle up to 20mph. I am pretty sure the ones your are looking at are capable of more than that. I didn't look too much into it, but the review pages said class 2 and 4 for the ones I looked at that you mentioned

I've never ridden a full on road bike, so I can't say what I think about riding in that position, but I don't think I would find it that comfortable. I wanted something similar to the Trek hybrid bike I have (8.3 DS), and the super commuter is pretty close to that.

I have the Trek Super Commuter 8, which like the CrossRip uses the power pack 500 and 28mph Bosch motor. The charger/bike doesn't have any sort of charge to X% setting, the closest to this you can get easily is a plug timer. I've heard of people seeing how long it takes to charge to about 80%...

Anyone Else Eliminate non throttle bikes? low top end?

Just be aware that you are probably looking at something classed as a moped/motorcycle with the specs you are looking at. That means it may need to be licensed, registered, insured, and driven on the road only, no bike paths or bike lanes. I think chances are pretty low that you get caught...

Anyone Else Eliminate non throttle bikes? low top end?

250W or 350W on a mid drive is plenty of power, but that would be under powered for a hub motor. My bike has a Bosch performance speed, which is either 250W or 350W, can't remember which. In turbo mode I can just lightly move my legs and get up to 20+mph, so I really don't see the need for a...

So I have a question for you. I got my lock and installed it last night, but the install took way longer than expected since my frame was way wider than what the straps and lock seemed to be designed for. Instead of installing the straps as per the instructions, I had to partially install them...
