Firmware update using mission control app

I noticed my Vado now has an option on the mission control app to update firmware. Has anyone tried this? I'm a little hesitant that it might 'brick' it if all does not go well.

Specialized Turbo Creo 28mph Electric Road Bike

Just hit 'sensors' and it finds a power meter, speed/cadance sensor and ebike The Creo is fully wireless and ready to go. Nothing to add with the Garmin, at least the better models and recent years.

Specialized Turbo Creo 28mph Electric Road Bike

I have a Garmin 530 with the Creo expert. As the expert is Di2, I also have the electronic gear integration. I have the Garmin 530 so I can have a graphic display of my current gear along with it's numerical value on the top row of the display. I also have the Di2 battery level on another...

    Creo with Di2 bluetooth connection

I checked the dial during a few rides and it DOES seem to have some effect other than on/off but not much. Going from the stiff setting, the first few clicks release most of the stiffness. More like a log scale than a linear one. After the first 3 or 4 clicks, the rest of the dial had little...

    Creo with Di2 bluetooth connection

I have tried moving the dial but after initial tests, I just leave it at the softest setting. Hadn't noticed if the effect was gradual or not as I think I just tried both extremes I'll mess around with it next time I go for a ride.

    Creo with Di2 bluetooth connection

Yes, sorry I forgot the mountain bike option. I tried road bike as well and that didn't work. Don't remember the 'complete' button. Guess I got lucky and must have done that automatically. I programmed my left shifter 'shift' leavers to mirror the right ones. Some set them up like SRAM systems...

    Creo with Di2 bluetooth connection

Yes, the 'wire' does unplug. It's not easy and you really should use the special tool. The 'wire' is easily damaged if you just pull on it. Many PC's have driver issues with the etube software. Maybe remove the current copy and try again. It's a very picky process. One mis step and it won't...

    Creo with Di2 bluetooth connection

I had the wireless adapter from my previous Roubaix. The adapter I have is the older EW-WU101. The new unit (EW-WU111) is a little smaller and may have more features but not really sure of that. I installed the EW-WU101 near the rear derailleur. This way, I could remove the cable and just add...

Comparing my Vado to the Creo

Maybe it will help justifying the ridiculous cost

Comparing my Vado to the Creo

I have been riding a Vado 3 for the past 2 years. As I just got my new Creo Expert, I though I'd share a comparison. Due to the virus restrictions, I have been riding the same 25k route a lot lately on my Vado. I tried the same route on my Creo while doing my best to match speed and exertion...

    Creo with Di2 bluetooth connection

I'm trying to use the e-tube app with my Creo. I don't seem to be able to get the bike into bluetooth mode. Has anybody had success with that?

My first e-bike (Turbo Creo SL Comp Evo)

So this is why I'm confused. According to Captain Slow, putting in 100w gets a max 100w boost. He says this from experience of owning a Creo. From the above example of e-levity, putting in 100w gets a max 200w boost.

My first e-bike (Turbo Creo SL Comp Evo)

I'm still not sure how much boost the Creo puts out? Not having one myself yet I can't verify it. Some docs say 180% boost. I take this as meaning if I put in 100w then the bike supplies an additional 180w. Other sources say '2x you' which could mean the above or it could mean that you put in...

My first e-bike (Turbo Creo SL Comp Evo)

Interesting, I would have said the exact opposite. But then in my area of Ontario, canada - there are only very short hills and nothing more than a few minutes of climbing.

My first e-bike (Turbo Creo SL Comp Evo)

Blackvipergts, I'm in about the same situation as you but my heart attack was 2 years ago now. I used to ride a Roubaix about 5,000 k/year I got the Vado initially and it has great power/support if you can't deliver much yourself. I have been getting better so my power is up a bit now. The...

Creo SL Comp Carbon EVO vs SL Comp Carbon?

Another thing to remember is the Creo REQUIRES 70rpm cadence to produce full power. Lower cadence greatly reduces power. Unlike my Vado which has lots of low end grunt :-) On a Creo test ride I noticed that if you let the cadence drop to 60 or even 50 on a climb, you loose ground FAST. I...

Specialized Turbo Creo 28mph Electric Road Bike

I don't think you can change that. My Vado does that as well. My solution is to set level 2 to be what I use almost all the time
