    Reliability Survey

I think you should have asked if the problem was solved by the manufacturer under warranty and how long it took. If a problem is solved quickly by the manufacturer it may negate some problems. You also need to know how many bikes were sold by each brand to determine a percentage of bikes with...

2015 Haibike Xduro Urban Kickstand and Handlebar riser

I have a similar kick stand on my Turbo Levo. It will quickly wear out the tension of the rivet due to the weight of the e-bike. You will know when it is wearing out, it will start making noise on bumps and the bike will lean more when supported by the kick stand. I removed the rivet and...

    eMTB Options For 2024

I have a 2018 Turbo Levo. I think the Mission Control app works with the 2017, it will tell you how many times the battery has been charged and the health of the battery. A new battery is $900. A Specialized lbs should also be able to tell you the condition of the motor and battery. As for the...

What bikes are suitable for seniors

There is no substitute for power. Go for a 750 watt motor. We live in a mountain valley, my wife's trike has a 750 watt motor and she can go up hills with throttle only when she becomes tired.

    eMTB Options For 2024

Talking about shoes, I have found these work very well. You can wear them everyday. Notice the lacing system, you either hate or love it. You can also get waterproof for riding in wet conditions. Salomon XA Pro 3D trail running shoes. Look for them on sale at REI or Moosejaw.

FS eMTB for a short guy?

I am the same size as you. I ride a Specialized Turbo Levo. With a medium size frame and a dropper seat post, I can sit on the seat and touch the ground. The wheel size is 27.5". I didn't plan to spend this much, but when the bike fits, bite the bullet. Good luck with your search.

Handlebar Jack Update and Valentines Day Sale!

I'm not going to worry about it. I have not had any problems turning my bike upside down. Specialized Turbo Levo. My son does it all the time on his bike and he rides a lot faster downhill on singletrack than I do. We do our own maintenance.

New ebike rider looking for a pair of bikes for wife and I

You did not say what your wife's inseam is. Mine is 29". I had a hard time finding a bike under $2500 that would fit unless it was a step thru. I mostly ride similar areas as you except for the beach, i.e. steep gravel roads. I would up with a name brand full suspension emtb. l would try to...

    MSRP vs. actual sales price

I have a Specialized tubo levo, my son and grandkids ride Specialized. There is very little wiggle room for a Specialized dealer. Usually the best price will be the same at any dealer. I have been friends for 30 years with my local dealer (a small shop in a small town, Specialized only) and his...
