Ariel Quality and Service - Read before you buy

and add to the three suspicious posts is another one from a member who joined less than two weeks ago .................... This company seems like they're making lots of fake accounts to try to make it seem like some have a positive impression of them. There can't be a bigger red flag than that.

Ariel Quality and Service - Read before you buy

I agree the three posts in a row seem suspicious. I never would have been a potential customer for this brand in any event because they don't sell the type of bike I want. But after reading this thread I would recommend my friends to avoid this brand. I'm a "bike guy" to my friends and in the...

HELP - Messed up my Vado SL 4.0 after trying to change rear tire.

I have considered going tubeless for MTB but I don't think it's worth the bother for the road. For an ebike, I'd rather not deal with all the mess and just use a highly flat resistant tire like a Schwalbe Marathon and not worry about the weight of it because I have a motor.

HELP - Messed up my Vado SL 4.0 after trying to change rear tire.

I find wire bead tires are harder to mount and the same goes for tubeless. I use kevlar bead, regular clinchers and I find they go on a lot easier.

    2023 SuperLight R&M: Fantasy thread

Ah, I forgot about the limiter. That makes a lot of sense. I guess I'm saying I don't like the lower limits in Canada! I wish we could have the 45 km/hr. limit the US riders get. But I suppose I shouldn't complain, at least 32 km/hr. is somewhat useful. I would find the 25 km/hr. of other...

    2023 SuperLight R&M: Fantasy thread

I just looked up the Roadster and it's a nice looking bike. What I don't understand is the gearing. You have a powerful Bosch motor and it comes with a single 42T chain ring and an 11-46 cassette. A high gear of 42/11 when you have a motor? Seems pretty low for a high gear when you have motor...

    2023 SuperLight R&M: Fantasy thread

Interesting idea, but I wonder if there's a market for lightweight R&M bikes. As you say R&M has developed brand equity and that brand is high quality, but heavy and solid bikes. Would the typical R&M buyer want a lightweight bike? If someone wanted a lightweight high performance ebike would...

Interesting saddle, definitely never seen anything like it before. It wouldn't work for me, but glad to hear you like it so much.

You can keep your Levo's and such, Me likey much better.

Very nice bike no doubt. A SRAM X01 bike without a motor is expensive, this is going to be really expensive.

e-bike insurance in Vancouver, BC, Canada?

I live in Burnaby and sometimes my group rides out to Horseshoe Bay. We ride along the bike route after we cross the Lions Gate Bridge and along Bellevue Avenue I've always noticed the apartments along there that look straight out of a movie from the 50s and 60s. Is it one of those buildings...

    Hi

If you go to the Optibike website I think you can sign up with them and they often send emails to a mailing list for reconditioned bikes that customers have traded in. Sometimes you can get bikes that would be under $6k. But the whole notion of you producing so much power that you must have a...

Most have seen this review, some have not. This review IS one of the main reasons I decided on Lectric eBikes

There's quite a difference between at a reasonable price vs. at any price.

Most have seen this review, some have not. This review IS one of the main reasons I decided on Lectric eBikes

Well people like what they like. Either that or he has a financial interest in Lectric bikes being sold. But I have to say that for me, if I made a fictional list of all the bikes I could have independent of price, this Lectric doesn't even make it into my top 100. Probably it doesn't even make...

I don't have any useful advice but just wanted to say I think it's great the OP is doing this. These forums are great for encouraging people to be more active, regardless of their starting point.

    Can we change the culture?

I think that one idiot is colouring your impression of hardcore cyclists. You're assuming they're all like that, and I would say they're not. I think there are many examples on here that support that. Just as with any group there are idiots within them. I'd say 95+% of motorists I encounter are...
