2022 Vado 4.0 My Opinion after the first 1000 miles

I have two ABUS locks... an ABUS Bordo Granit xplus 85cm folding lock and an ABUS 1060 67" chain. The folding lock will perfectly fit through the rear wheel, frame, and a standard bike rack. The chain is long enough to go through both weels the frame and a bike rack. When I have the trailer...

I use the Park Tool chain lube and I clean and lube my chain about every 4 weeks.

2022 Vado 4.0 My Opinion after the first 1000 miles

2000 miles on the bike now. All I have done is rotated the tires, replaced the chain (it hadn't even stretched but I always switch out at 2k), and replaced the brake pads. The bike is amazing! I haven't even had to adjust the shifting... ever. I got a Burley XC Coho cargo trailer for it too...

    Burley Coho

I actually found the right axel in a bargain bin at a local REI. It was 14 bucks! I love the coho it is perfect for my needs!

    Burley Coho

Which ballz through axel did you get? I measured my VADO axel and it is 12mm x 1.0 thread and 162mm long. I ordered the trailer and the ballz through axel 12mm x 1.0 thread 158mm to 174mm. But they sent the wrong axel. And now that specific size is out of stock everywhere. Before I send...

ABUS frame locks for Vado/Como have arrived (and they fit/work!)

Thanks for the info. There are parts of Cleveland that I frequent that yes anything and everything will be stolen. I am looking for a better solution than a cable for the front wheel.

ABUS frame locks for Vado/Como have arrived (and they fit/work!)

Thanks for sharing the pics. Do you think the chain ABUS makes to plug into the lock will be long enough to secure the front wheel to the frame? I already have an ABUS folding lock that can make it through the rear wheel, frame, and a standard bike rack. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Specialized Mission Control App Details & Settings

I had these problems mentioned above. I just ignored them and after a couple weeks everything works now. However I can’t locate the tcd brightness settings in the app or the display. My screen isn’t as bright as it was before the update. Has anyone else experienced this?

2022 Vado: Turbo Basket and Tailwind Panniers

I concur regarding heel strikes however for me i slid them back .75” and it’s fine now. After a few hundred miles and getting used to pedaling with the panniers moved back…. I moved them forward and i am not getting heel strikes. My pedaling technique/foot position changed. Not saying this...

New Como 5.0 Rock Shock fork not working

This is extraordinary. A business wants to pay you to go away. Wrap your mind around this... a business wants to pay you to go away. And even if you think that they will pay you what you paid... they aren't breaking even... they have had to spend even more money to deal with you. They are...

    Routing a New Shifter Cable

*Maybe* but likely yes if the ferals and housing are not damaged. No breaks in the housing/casing. If you have to replace everything then tape the new cable/housing to the front of the old housing so it is the same diameter and pull it through the frame. Look and think before you do this.

2022 Vado 4.0 My Opinion after the first 1000 miles

The bike is perfect. I have never had an issue however I am a competent bicycle mechanic and I have common sense. When you turn the bike on make sure you don't move it until the headlight and taillights come on. When the bike first turns on it calibrates itself, therefore, moving the wheels or...

New Como 5.0 Rock Shock fork not working

Wow, this is amazing! I've had my 2022 Vado 4.0 since April with zero issues... logged almost 1000 miles. And I mean zero issues. Maybe I am lucky?

My 1st 50 miles on the new Como 5.0

Maybe when he is riding or sitting on the bike the front fork compresses enough to drop the bb into the danger zone. I have the same bike (4.0 actually), weigh 200 and my fork easily compresses an inch or more just sitting on the bike. I don't have issues with pedal strikes but that is because...
