I too after reading these forums, was put off by the worry over batteries, chains...etc. I rode road bikes for years and always go 5000+ miles on a chain. Yet on the forum I heard of people having to replace their chain at 500 miles, and thinking nothing of it. I decided to go ahead with it...

I use Blaster dry lube from Lowe’s. It’s cheap and over decades of road biking I always get 5000+ miles out of a chain. I lube every 100 miles. Doing the same with my Ui6, and with over 2,400 miles have no issues.

I appreciate the list but together by Mike. Great to see the wide range of prices as rhat allows people of various economic and interest levels to experience an eBike. You can get extremely low spec components, or the high end, just like a regular bike. It’s the same as comparing a $150 Walmart...

Sounds like it will work out. I rum my Big Bens around 45-48 psi, ride is a little rougher, but there is also less rolling resistance.

I have the C-7 on my UI6, but never messed around with the tire size. So, can’t help you with that. I do know tire pressure effects it, as well as weight (tire compresses more). I also know that nothing is 100% accurate. Even the gps on my phone and Garmin seldom match.

Agree with you azoldtech about the cheaper frame, etc. I would add that many are purpose built, and that makes a difference. Bolting a motor and battery on a Walmart bike would be dangerous to say the least.

My eBike came with an adjustable bar/stem. If I remember correctly the brand is Promax. Anyway, it moves up, down, forward and back. Can easily be changed on the fly, and has been flawless so far. It almost seems like a different bike going from relaxed to the more aggressive positions. Works...

If reality for you is defined by the government, then it is pointless for me to say anything else. So I’m outta here :)

@Karl Front brake lever :) I have rode well over 200,000 miles on motorcycles in my life, front on the left drives my crazy. After over 2,300 miles on my eBike I’m starting to accept it. But I still don’t like it.

Looks like a nice bike, congrats! I agree with Harrys, get the battery from original seller. Then it should be plug and play.
