    Catrike conversion complete

What model Catrike do you have? I have a 2013 Catrike Trail (non folding) and am interested in converting it to an eTrike. Any help you could give from your experience would be greatly appreciated. I have had it for 6 years, but don’t ride it much since getting my eBike last year. The Trike...

Magnum's New Line up for 2019

Thanks for the info, I was wondering when their 2019 lineup would arrive. Still very happy with my Ui6, about 2500 miles and has been perfect.

    Another Ebike convert...

Blog post was a good read, and agree with you. There is room in the world for bikes and ebikes. Thanks for the post.

    Forum fears

I too after reading these forums, was put off by the worry over batteries, chains...etc. I rode road bikes for years and always go 5000+ miles on a chain. Yet on the forum I heard of people having to replace their chain at 500 miles, and thinking nothing of it. I decided to go ahead with it...

    Routine Maintenance

I use Blaster dry lube from Lowe’s. It’s cheap and over decades of road biking I always get 5000+ miles out of a chain. I lube every 100 miles. Doing the same with my Ui6, and with over 2,400 miles have no issues.

Black Friday threads--do you love them or hate them?

Love them. Fun to read and wonder “what if”.....

E-Bike Price Distribution (just for fun)

I appreciate the list but together by Mike. Great to see the wide range of prices as rhat allows people of various economic and interest levels to experience an eBike. You can get extremely low spec components, or the high end, just like a regular bike. It’s the same as comparing a $150 Walmart...

ASE, owner of Performance Bicycle and ASI, to file for Chapter 11

Sad to hear this, I hope our Fort Worth store survives.

when will prices come down out of the stratosphere?

My second post on this thread, but I repeat that eBike prices IMHO are quite fair. With all the hand wringing on the many tariff threads, moaning about prices, Black Friday deals give a clue about the profit margins these sellers have. Rad, for example has the Rad City for $1295, it’s a great...

Which is better to buy for a new bike?

Feliz has it right. We have goat heads, huge thorns, glass, nails...etc. when i rode mainly a recumbent trike, my wife also had one, she had the stock Kenda tires, I had Schwalbe Marathons. In less than 250 miles she had 3 flats. In thousands of miles I had zero. My current main ride, an eBike...

Correcting Odometer Error on Das-Kit C7 (Metro)

Sounds like it will work out. I rum my Big Bens around 45-48 psi, ride is a little rougher, but there is also less rolling resistance.

    Conversion or buy new Ebike.

Congrats! I hear ya about the battery, the more AH the better.

Correcting Odometer Error on Das-Kit C7 (Metro)

I have the C-7 on my UI6, but never messed around with the tire size. So, can’t help you with that. I do know tire pressure effects it, as well as weight (tire compresses more). I also know that nothing is 100% accurate. Even the gps on my phone and Garmin seldom match.

when will prices come down out of the stratosphere?

Agree with you azoldtech about the cheaper frame, etc. I would add that many are purpose built, and that makes a difference. Bolting a motor and battery on a Walmart bike would be dangerous to say the least.

    Comfortable handlebar options.

My eBike came with an adjustable bar/stem. If I remember correctly the brand is Promax. Anyway, it moves up, down, forward and back. Can easily be changed on the fly, and has been flawless so far. It almost seems like a different bike going from relaxed to the more aggressive positions. Works...

Think tolerance for e-bikes is common? think again!

If reality for you is defined by the government, then it is pointless for me to say anything else. So I’m outta here :)

    Ebikemotion x35 speed limiter "fix"

@Karl Front brake lever :) I have rode well over 200,000 miles on motorcycles in my life, front on the left drives my crazy. After over 2,300 miles on my eBike I’m starting to accept it. But I still don’t like it.

Think tolerance for e-bikes is common? think again!

@Rincon Federal law does not define reality. If it has a motor, it’s a motorized vehicle. Federal law is often ignored by states. Federal law can change overnight. Federal law does not apply to the rest of the world. If ebikes continue to grow in popularity, federal, state and local laws will...

    My first Ebike.

Looks like a nice bike, congrats! I agree with Harrys, get the battery from original seller. Then it should be plug and play.
