    Requesting assistance...which bike?

My wife rides a 2021 Como 4.0 step thru and easily gets 50 miles with 45% battery remaining. She weighs around 145 ilbs. It is a class 3 bike and weighs 50 lbs with an added Topeak rear rack.

Como 2.0 crash - fix? Part out?

I would buy a 2021 Como 4 if you can find one. My wife and I replaced our 2019 Como 2's with 2021 Como 4's & 5's and really notice a difference. The larger batteries have eliminated range anxiety, the motors are noticably more powerful, we got fenders and lights too. Overall the new bikes are...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

They are extra shims that are attached to the battery during assembly of the bike. If you examine your battery you should see one screwed to the bottom. I don't think you would ever need the extras. I've owned 4 Como's and they all came with a bag of extra small parts and instruction sheets for...

Full length of 2021 Turbo Como 3.0 Low-Step?

My wife's 2021 Como with large frame is 72 inches from front to rear tire. I think this measurement will vary by frame size. We remove the front wheel to carry inside a mid size SUV.

    Transporting Como in your vehicle?

Measure the length and width of your bike and take a tape measure to the car dealers when you look. I just did this looking for a vehicle to carry two large Como's. They fit in a Honda CRV, Kia Sorento, Toyota Highlander and all of the bigger three row SUV's we considered. We remove the front...

    Specialized Como 3.0 or Gazelle

My wife and I have a 2019 Como 2.0, 2021 4.0 and 2021 5.0. No suspension forks but we put Kinekt seatposts on them and find the ride comfortable on paved and crushed stone trails. If I did more riding on rough trails or around town I'd look closer at something with a suspension fork. The Como's...

    Specialized

There is a class sticker on the seat downtube, you want a class 3 bike for 28mph. There should also be a sticker on the downtube with the serial number and manufacturing date. I believe you need to be looking at the Como 4 for class 3.

Is the Vado SL Freehub noisy?

I noticed the same thing when we got our Como's 3 years ago.I'm used to it now but it does seem odd that it has to be that noisy.

    Replacing Como “The Cup” seat

I'm not a big fan of the cup seat either.

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Our 2018 Como's needed a hard push to get the batteries locked in place but our new 2021's are much improved and lock easily.

Took my Como 5 in for firmware update - cost me $3750

We have a Como 5 and a Como 4, they both show a different wheel circumference in mission control. The Como 5 shows 2199mm cicumference and the Como 4 says 2250. Interestingly they are very close on mileage but the Como 4 always over reads speed by about 3 mph. The Como 5 is very close to other...

Took my Como 5 in for firmware update - cost me $3750

On my Como 5 the sticker is on the underside of the down tube below the seat. It is a white sticker about 1 1/2" long by 1/2" wide. On my wifes step through it is also on the underside of the downtube just above the bottom of the battery compartment.

Took my Como 5 in for firmware update - cost me $3750

Just curious when your bikes were manufactured. Ours were both made in November 2020 so they are really new. The 2019 Como's we previously owned were manufactured in 2017 and were almost 2 years old when we bought them. The battery on my 2019 was nearly 3 years old at the time.

    RAcktime Rack for Como 5

If you have a small size frame the Topeak rack may be too close to the seat and make attaching a bag difficult. My wife's bag kept coming unlocked because it was hitting the back of her seat. Topeak racks fit and work fine on larger Specialized frames.

Took my Como 5 in for firmware update - cost me $3750

We love the Kinect seatposts, they really help smooth out the ride. Both of our Como's are 2021 models with the rear light mounted on the fender so we didn't have to reroute the wire through the seatpost. I made an upright bike carrier like yours but still had to remove the front fenders on both...

Took my Como 5 in for firmware update - cost me $3750

Congratulations. My wife and I bought 2021 Como 4 and Como 5 right before the price increase. My wifes frame is charcoal and mine is a blueish gray. We sold our 2019 Como 2's which we loved but we needed more speed and larger capcity batteries. There is a noticable difference in motor...

    A Word on Ride1UP Shipping

This happens quite often with Ebay sales. I notice is sent that the the item has "shipped" when in reality all the seller did was print a mailing label. It makes them look like they ship quickly. The only business I can count on to ship quickly and deliver at the promised time is Amazon. BTW, I...

Platform Bike Rack for Bike with Fenders

I second the 1Up bike racks. Ours are 10 years old and still going strong. We carry two Specialized Comos with fenders each weighing slightly under 50 pounds with no problem. The bikes don't touch anywhere. I did buy some heavy duty 2" velcro strapping and wrap a piece around each wheel and the...
