Replacing Como “The Cup” seat

I love my Como 5 but not so much “The Cup” seat that came on it. My other ride is a Trek carbon road bike with a narrow saddle.

I found an Ergon Mountain SMC Core that’s similar in shape. Unfortunately my Como has the rear light under the seat. My wife’s Como came with the light on the rear fender. I disassembled The Cup’s seat to harvest the light’s mount. I cut the middle out, rounded the edges and used Gorilla Tape to stick it to the bottom of the seat.

I took it for a spin and it feels great so far. We have camping trips planned for every month from May-October so it’s going to get plenty of use!

I'm not a big fan of the cup seat either.

I just got a Como and, until I changed riding style, did not like it. If I ride like my other bikes, it is not comfortable but if you ride like a beach cruiser, relaxed and upright, casual riding, it works. My wife on the other hand loved it immediately and I am putting one on her Trek MTB.
