    Guys, Trek has 12 new 2018 E-MTB models in Europe. You aren't seeing it in the USA because it's not the billion dollar market it is in Europe but its coming.

    HUB vs MID DRIVE - how can I compare?

    Pedal strikes are easily avoided by learning to ratchet. you definitely do not need a throttle with an ebike, maybe you want a moped or lead sled dirtbike. Also, check out Haibikes offerings for the low end of mid-drives around 2k. The prices are coming down but not for the top shelf stuff.

    I think what they mean are hub e-bikes are disappearing but certain mid-drives are not. In North Carolina it's not hard to find one to try.

    Depends on weight, speed, elevation. I get about 25 miles on Turbo and 60 miles on economy (bosch CX Trek Powerfly 8). There is a new backpack that is built to hold a battery, I forget the name it was in the recent Europe mountain bike show.
