    Izip Dash Coasting Question

Just like in Cort's review for the 2015, the gearless design means there will always be some magnetic drag on the rear wheel which won't allow it to free wheel as easy as the front.

Dash 2015 model spotted on the tube.

I did have to have my rear wheel trued 3 times, so maybe the change is related to that, or its the same rim but a different look. I think the front fork is great and use the quick adjust quite often. Also the bikes price went up $300 since last years model.

Dash 2015 model spotted on the tube.

A couple other observations not noted in that video. It looks like they went with different rims. The chain has been upgraded. The kickstand will still bang around if you hit a bump (I fixed this by putting a small rubber foot where the kickstand hits against) This should be an awesome bike.

    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

Just shy of 1000 miles on my Dash. Needed to replace all the brake pads (lots of stop and go in the city) and replace the front brake cable. Other than that, after my initial issues the bike has been solid. The brakes do need constant adjustment due to my riding style. No loss of power. Motor...

CurrieTech - How to adjust Dash rear brake??

Yeah, I just took the rear wheel off to adjust the inner pad with a standard allen wrech. I'm an expert on this bike by now, and it takes me about 5 minutes to drop the wheel and turn the inner pad 2 cranks. That said, the brakes do need constant adjustment. I was thinking of making a video of...

    iZip E3 Peak Rear Brake

No "R" knob of the otherside of the caliper?

    iZip E3 Peak Rear Brake

On each of the calipers there's a "R" knob to adjust the right pad into the caliper more. I find a combination of adjusting the wire (on the Dash), and the "R" knob gives me braking back. On the dash, you'll notice that if the pads are too worn down, the wire won't pull anymore because of the...

Blown motor on E3 Dash with 29 miles on it

No need for an authorized dealer. The cassette and brake swap is a standard wheel. And Currie will prolly reimburse you for the fee. REI will know how to do this.

Blown motor on E3 Dash with 29 miles on it

Have them ship the wheel to you, a local shop can swap the cassette and brakes and have you running in no time. Taking the old wheel off is cake, just bring the wheel to a shop. Or take the whole bike to the shop and have them torque down that bracket sensor to 60+ ft lbs of torque as well.

Blown motor on E3 Dash with 29 miles on it

Sounds exactly what I went thru. (You see my video I posted on this thread?) Fear not, tho.. I got my new wheel today with the better bonding agent and Currie support is top notch. You can contact Chawn (Curriesupport) thru here or call and they'll get u a new wheel to your dealer quick. You're...

My 500 mile E3 Dash Review

I doubt 45 miles. Do what I do and bring the charger to work and give it a charge during the day if that's an option. Then it'll be no problem. Or get 2 batteries.

    E3 Dash malfunction help?

I find the Torque sensor works best when you pedal straight down more than forward and then down. Meaning, keeping the pedals as horizontal as possible and use the powerstroke of your legs to push down instead of forward and then down. And keep a constant steady pressure on your legs without...

My 500 mile E3 Dash Review

When I first got the bike the brakes were amazing! I could do endo's and lock the rear. How many miles you got on yours? These are the 2nd disc brakes I've had.. Again.. I admit I have been braking hard, so I might have glazed the pads. (I had a 10 second 1/4 mile Camaro with No2 that I glazed...

My 500 mile E3 Dash Review

Edit: Brakes: I must have glazed the pads or something. Even after cleaning the rotors down with rubbing alcohol and having my bike shop adjust them professionally they just don't stop me. I can't get the rear wheel to lock at all, and the front is just as useless... I just coast to a stop, and...
