Batteries: Less charging cycles or using less battery capacity?

If you are going to use it right away or within a day or two, I have no problem charging to 100% and using it. I just store it around 50-60% over the winter. I generally get several years out of my batteries. Just rebuilt one from 2013 which I always charged to 100%. Basically, not a huge...

frustrated rant: the more i learn the more i cant find an ebike

Hi Bob, The Evo Snow doesn't have a huge battery, 10.4aH but I think it is pretty efficient the way it is integrated into the single controller system. I did a 27 mile ride the other day and still had about 30% juice when I was finished. 1/2 of that was trails with several hills. I have...

First Real trial of my New Elegant - Comments & Questions

I wouldn't worry about the motor. Those Bafang rear hubs are tough and have no issues operating at or over their rated power ratings. I don't think you need to adjust the controller amps. Best to have full power available if you need it as not to stress the system. Adjustments will need to...

I would say for the how fast you were going and using mostly throttle 30 miles out of 14ah is good

frustrated rant: the more i learn the more i cant find an ebike

Good question. I have never used it in the snow. However, I have used in on loose dirt, gravel and sand and it works great. It actually will shift power to front or rear motor depending on the situation. You can also change it to rear only, front only or AWD from the display easily

frustrated rant: the more i learn the more i cant find an ebike

I have several ebikes but my current favorite commuter is an Easy Motion Evo Snow Pro. It is 48v, all-wheel drive with 29er Schwabe tires and hydraulic brakes. The components are medium quality but fine for commuting. And because the battery is totally integrated into the frame, it doesn't...

How Fast Can You Go Without Assist?

I go 85 mph - with no assist, in the rain, uphill, pedaling barefoot while wearing no padded shorts & eating a twinkie.

    Juiced Bikes Quality Control Issues?

My only beef is with those God awful Kenda fat tires. o_O I know I must sound like a broken record because I have said this at least adozen times the past couple of years, but those tires are terrible and I cringe when I see them on a nice ebike!

    Voltbike customer support

The moral of all these stories....if you pre-order, be prepared to wait even beyond the "estimated" delivery date no matter who you order from. If you are in a hurry or want to ride one before this summer runs out, I would not pre-order any ebike right now. Your best bet is LBS or online...
