Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

That one would definitely have worked for me. The problem I was having is that none of the XS that would fit me were Class 3. This one is. And I could have saved a few nickels as well. I love my Zinn, but if this Liv had been available a bit sooner, I would probably have jumped on it. I say...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

Hi @Saratoga Dave , It's 50 teeth. Nice because I no longer run out of gears while descending. On my Kona, which had either 38 or 42 teeth (can't recall), I would routinely run out of gears on the downhills. And since this is a Class 3 bike vs. the Kona at Class 1, I can go even faster downhill...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

The bike was shipped to me so required some assembly. My husband and I put it together, and yes, we have rotated the bars back some since taking that photo. I realized they were wrong after my first ride. The bike weighed 36 lbs before I added pedals, seat bag, and water bottle cage.

    eBike Service

@MarkMinNC , have you tried East Coast Electric Speed Shop? I haven't used them YET, but I plan to if/when I need service, since I ordered my new ebike from Colorado, so can't go back to the LBS that sold it to me. Sounds like they service all types of ebikes, though there is a wait list for...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

I know this thread is about Specialized Creo, but since I'd posted quite a few times on it and gotten some excellent advice and input, I did want to follow up. I took delivery of my new Zinn Tui ebike last week and took her out for the first ride on Friday. What a wonderful bike! It's going to...

Announcement & Update on EBR Ownership

Thank you @Court. I probably would not be riding an ebike now if I hadn't found your amazing reviews and forum. I have learned so much! Your review of my first ebike, the Kona Dew-e DL, was instrumental in my decision to purchase one. It has been a great bike. I still remember your video review...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

This will be my first ti bike. I think I've had every other frame material over the years (well, besides bamboo or something else super exotic, lol)! I can't wait.

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

Just to close things out, since a lot of kind folks on this thread gave me advice and encouragement in my quest for an e-road bike, I wanted to let you all know that I decided to order the Zinn. It will look like the first bike on this page but with drop bars. And I'll probably have it a month...

8+ months of research, 100s of hours, know what I need & want but can't find it

@BurroBabe , This time I got a notification from the forum! The Trek Domane+ is definitely not a step-through; it's a true diamond-frame road bike: Trek Domane+ AL5. Standover on the 49 cm size is 72.7 cm. I know I am very fortunate to be able to go custom. If I couldn't afford the Zinn, I...

8+ months of research, 100s of hours, know what I need & want but can't find it

Sorry @BurroBabe , for some reason I am not getting notifications from this forum (maybe because you didn't tag me, but I thought I subscribed to this thread), so I didn't see this post until now. Unfortunately, Trek may have small road bikes, but their e-road bikes are a different story. The...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

Yeah, @jabberwocky , I am not sure if women's geometry needs to be specific, but smaller sizes with shorter reach and standover need to happen. I looked seriously at the Thrive when I was first e-bike shopping, but that was during the pandemic, and there were no XS's to be had. Other than having...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

Thanks @jabberwocky , Yes, I admit I haven't looked very hard re. a conversion because I figured then I'd have to find two things: first a road bike that fits me well and would be easy for someone to convert (technically); second, someone to do the conversion safely and correctly, plus any...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

Welp, for anyone interested in this bike, I have this to report. I finally emailed my local Specialized dealer who said that the tan is already "oversold" (not sure if to individuals or bike shops, since it never showed any availability online). The black will be available in September. I don't...

Petite rider ISO basic, lightweight ride

I also ended up with a Kona Dew-e DL (size small) after a search that showed me quickly how difficult finding a decent e-bike for those of us with short inseams can be, unless we want a heavy cargo/city bike with 20" wheels, which I did not. I am 5'1" with a 28" cycling inseam. I love my Kona...

8+ months of research, 100s of hours, know what I need & want but can't find it

Y'all, there are many rural areas in the US where Uber and Lyft services aren't offered. Someday, maybe, this kind of service will be everywhere, but I completely sympathize with @BurroBabe when she laments the state of transportation in the US. If you live in an urban area or the burbs, your...

@gpburdell , You don't happen to have the link that this email referenced? I would like to get my name on this list. Thanks!

@BurroBabe, I just noticed this thread today and found your quandry interesting because I've been posting on another thread, also looking for a small e-bike. Our needs are very different; I'm looking for a lightweight road e-bike to keep up with my speedy husband on recreational rides of up to...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

Thanks! That's good to know. As of this morning (and this could change by tonight!) I am leaning towards waiting until the availability of the aluminum Creo model that started this thread and see if I can find one to test ride before I do anything else, but I'm keeping my options open for now.

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

Thanks everyone. What @Nubnub suggested was interesting, but yeah, the smallest Vado is too large for me, other than possibly the step-thru, but I don't want to deal with all the intricacies of converting a flat-bar bike to a drop bar. And I think the Vado is similar to my Kona, more of a...
