External vs Integrated battery packs - which do you prefer and why?

Back on topic! I like my proprietary external battery setup. It’s not too heinous and it’s very easy to install and remove. Just turn the key to remove it. No covers to remove and no extra levers to push or pull.... Although not to say I’d have much heartburn if my next bike has a proprietary...

External vs Integrated battery packs - which do you prefer and why?

How is this different from your Honda? Can you easily replace your engine, alternator, or engine control module (ECM) with one from Toyota?

Generic MD 1000 and HD 750 ebike model discussion

While not pretty, the weld does not appear to have failed. Unless the seat tube extends and is supported in the boxed section of the frame, I think Reed may be on to something. It will be interesting to see where this all goes. Could be a serious design defect.

HOW DO I DISCHARGE FOR STORAGE

You are not leaving it “fully” charged at 80%. I highly doubt you will notice any measurable battery degradation leaving it at 80% for a couple of months versus it being 60% for the same length of time.....But at the end of the day, it’s all about what make you feel the most comfortable. I...

HOW DO I DISCHARGE FOR STORAGE

Leaving it at 80% should be no problem at all. 80% is not fully charged!

Why are the e-bike sold only with heavy inefficient fat tires?

There’s actually more to it than that. Weight can greatly impact a bikes handing characteristics. Many prefer a lightweight ebike because they tend to be more nimble and agile. .......not to mention being easier to lift, carry, and transport.

    Powerful Ebike

The Sur Ron is not an eBike. It’s an electric dirt bike with a top speed around 50mph. You want to go that fast or faster on an electric bicycle?!?

Trek Verve 3+ vs CO-OP Cycles CTY e2.2. Electric Bike

Wheel & Spocket also sells brands other than Trek. I got a great deal on my Felt Sport-E 50 in ‘19. I believe their Brookfield store has the largest selection of ebikes. Great customer service. Erik’s sells Specialized. Crazy Lenny’s sells too many brands to list and would definitely be worth...
