    Knee and elbow pads?

Do you use these? They appear to be even less "sharp" (ie, harmful to legs) than the VP pedals.

    Knee and elbow pads?

Are these the right ones? https://www.perennialcycle.com/vpe-527-low-profile-platform-pedal.html It says only 2 left. I found them a couple of other places, but they were sold out. Are they that hot or is the company not making them anymore?

How to get a simple list of the threads I am following?

Is there a way to get a simple list of the threads I am following? The Your content link is not very helpful. It lists all of the most recent posts I have made, so there is often several posts in the same thread. The MrExcel forum, which I consider the best-run forum I follow, has a Watched...

    Knee and elbow pads?

Thanks. I would not of thought of the leg scratch problem. I'll probably get them and then I'll watch for that.

    Knee and elbow pads?

Ok. I will never be in that situation. I doubt I will ride at night and I doubt that I will ride in the rain -- unless I have ridden somewhere and then it rains.

    Knee and elbow pads?

Sorry about your fall. How did that happen? I only ride on city streets, so I rarely, if ever, see any gravel. I'll look into the mechanics wear, but I'll probably get some heavier cycling gloves. And I will rarely exceed 20 mph.

Thanks. I'll look into both the pads and the gloves.

    Knee and elbow pads?

Are these the pedals you mean? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FFJNL89/ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CWRQQGD/ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09R79WC7P/ Do the anti-skid nails grab the shoes too much causing problems lifting the foot off the pedal? I have noticed that if I lift my left foot off the...

    Knee and elbow pads?

I do have a helmet and I will buy a better one. One of the spills was in the driveway. I had just come back from tennis. I had my tennis bag in the saddlebag with the racket handle pointing up. The bike is not step though and when I tried to swing my leg off, it hit the racket and I lost my...

    Knee and elbow pads?

Thanks for the knee and elbow pad links. Those knee pads look good. I didn't see anything on Amazon that looked as good. No, I wasn't planning on a full face helmet. 😉 I think these are the cycling shoes you recommended. How are they different from (better than) lightweight walking shoes? Is...

    Knee and elbow pads?

I never wear flip flops and would never wear them on a bike. Yikes! When I am going to play tennis, I wear my tennis shoes. Other times, I wear a pair of lightweight walking shoes.

    Knee and elbow pads?

I am new to e-biking. In the last month, I have had 2 minor spills. There were no injuries in one and only minor scrapes to both knees and one elbow in the other. What's the best protection I can get? Are there knee and elbow pads that are reasonably comfortable? What about protective clothing...

    Rear View Mirror for Bike

I am new here and in the market for an e-bike. My neighbor loaned me his to try and his helmet which has a mirror. I really like the mirror, but it is very small -- about one inch wide. I would appreciate recommendations for helmet mirrors. I will also check out the handlebar mirrors...

    Giro Ethos helmet

I am in the market for an e-bike. At one of the bike stores I visited, the sales person showed me a Giro Ethos helmet, which he said he owns. I liked that it had lights, including front and back turn signals that are operated by a wireless control mounted on the handlebars. It also seemed very...

How does the geared hub motor work?

It is my understanding that the C380 uses a geared hub motor. The sales person showing me the bike tried to explain it to me, but all I got was that it's a system of floating balls, or something. Can someone explain it better? How does it compare with a manual gear system with multiple...

I would love some suggestions for the right e-bike for me

I make a lot of short trips around town. Most are less than 5 miles and all but a very few are less than 10 miles. I feel guilty driving our gasoline car such short distances, but we are not quite ready to get an EV. An e-bike seems like an excellent option. But which one to get? I am 80 years...

    A few newbie questions

Hi, all. I am new here. I am thinking about getting an e-bike, but have a few questions before I do have a few questions. It is better if I limit each new post to a single question so the discussion can stay better focused rather than ask 4-5 questions in one post? Thanks
