    using 36v on 48v setup

Many controllers have a 36v and 48v option, check into yours. If it has a 36v mode you are all set. I would be very interested to hear how you find the power of your motor on 36v vs 48v. I was at one point planning a similar experiment

    NCM Throttle Lever Question

Yep, sounds about like mine technically "variable" but in practical use it's more like on/off. Too bad, the throttle seems well made and fits in such a small space

Raise Handlebars on NCM Moscow Plus

I love Ergon grips. The stock grips on my Moscow+ are fine for now, but I have Ergon GP-1 grips on my other bikes. Assuming the GP-1 are the same width as the GP-5 (and I believe they are) I measured mine and they are 130mm wide vs the stock NCM grips which are 140mm wide so I think the...

    C7 Display Julet connector

Just a followup, the cable came from that amazon purchase and fits the NCM C7 and L7 perfectly, works great. If you are opening the cable sheath for any reason just remember don't trust the colors of the wires, in extension cables the colors may or may not align with any known wiring diagram. In...

NCM Prague - Rear wheel issue

I carry a 5in adjustable wrench so I can get the 18mm nut, the 19mm nut and the 10mm flat on the axle to make the wheel drop out. With the wrench on the axle flats its super easy to get the wheel to drop out and I think even if you ride it a mere few km it will bind up again and the 10mm wrench...

    NCM Throttle Lever Question

Lift your back tire off the ground and play with the das-kit throttle, you'll see it is graduated, just feels more like on off and tricky to feather.

What is different about the Das-Kit geared hub motor?

I believe this is what OVT used but he might have a different link. There's tons of colors available including glossy and matte instead of carbo fiber. https://www.amazon.ca/Carbon-Fiber-Adhesive-Sticker-Release/dp/B01L1WYNPI

What is different about the Das-Kit geared hub motor?

Sounds like a lot of work but your effort paid off, the fit and finish look very professional in your photos! I expect you'll get lots of positive comments from other cyclists with those. They are USB powered I assume, do you have to plug them into your battery when you ride or have you rigged...

What is different about the Das-Kit geared hub motor?

Are the LED's under the carbon sticker? I can't see how they are mounted. And did you grind off the rack mounting bosses? I don't see them either. Looks fantastic!

Raise Handlebars on NCM Moscow Plus

I have a 100mm adapter that is pointed straight up (so using it as a straight riser at maximum height). It just fits including the wires and cables. The 110mm should be fine especially if you are not going straight up and down.

Inspired by a couple of Swedes...

I say give it a good couple long rides on the Lectric XP before you set out just to work out the kinks. That's sounds like a long trip you have planned and your riding a commuter bike and pulling a trailer. Just make sure you get a feel for if it's up to challenge before embarking. Paved roads...

    Orange Seal tire sealant works

Wow, fantastic idea on patch kits. I might do something similar but 3D print a case I can tuck inside my stem from below or down my seatpost, very clever. My prices were actually Canadian prices too so in USD even cheaper. Maybe we have cheap tire prices here, lol. Here's links to what I buy...

    Orange Seal tire sealant works

Holy cow! You patched the hell out of that tube! You are getting your money's worth! To me patches are like $3 and tubes for my bike only cost $4.50. I'd patch my tubes in an emergency but tend to just buy a brand new tube vs patches. I do certainly carry patches just in case. Also on a related...

    losing power?

As said, all parts are easily moved to another bike for testing ideas. On a Moscow it's a simple matter to disconnect the motor (there's a connector down near the chain on the bike) and then loosen the axle nuts and pop the back wheel off to swap with your brother. If it's a motor issue that'll...

    et.Cycle??

They do appear to have changed the specs! I wonder if the motor is actually different or if it's really the same motor just rated lower in the specs than it really is? They are still listing the motor as a G26 which is 750w on the US site.

    Reention Dorado 48V 25Ah 29Ah&36V 30Ah (505L) Replacement Battery for eBikes Surface 604,NCM,Rize,Magnum,Aventon

Not sure they offer a 52v version of the Dorado battery but Jenny will likely see these messages and respond herself, she's also been helping my son who was looking into a bike kit and a battery for that and I know they offer batteries in other cases. A 52v version of the Dorado batteries is...

Recommendation for Bike that will Last

I'll toss out the name NCM for bikes. They sell nationwide but have a location in BC I think. We picked up a new Moscow+ and put over 1000km so far without issues, but purchased a used bike with 4500km on it and also have experienced no problems beyond the freewheel being worn (still rideable...

eBay and Aliexpress LiPo battery packs. Are they worth anything?

I ended up ordering a Dorado battery via Aijiu Power, 25ah using Samsung 50E 21700 cells. Aijiu and their rep Jenny have been fantastic about answering questions and providing me assurances about the cells they use and photos of the manufacturing process. There's another thread here about the...

NCM - STORE REQUIRED IN UK

Hey check out some threads where I ordered a battery from Aijiu Power, I am going to post a review of it when it arrives. But price is way less than any other vendor and they are using good Samsung cells. I also don't know about Leon UK but replacement batteries from Leon in Canada are available...
