Well, how do you determine the straight thru gear? I wonder if it matters if you simply don’t use the throttle from a standing start?

I have a blade 1.0. I wanted two e bikes so pre ordered a blade 2.0. I went that over a Frey CC because that hub intrigued me.

Well I can say as a Blade 1 rider if you try it will wheely! Lol. When I get my Blade 2.0 I’ll just have to remember to get the ball rolling with the pedals on a normal basis. I hope that when in motion it there will be less stress on the hub using the throttle.

Ok why is the issue only when using the throttle? I have a Blade 1.0 and you get more performance when peddling. I get it, you're adding value to the drive set because you're peddling, but you're getting even more performance out of the system as well.

Its hard to say exactly. Its like peddling a heavy bicycle. There is no drive train resistance to speak of. Feels like a heavy bicycle.

Is there a trick to installing those new grips?

Thank you for the advice. Having experience with the Blade 1, and realizing improvements were made, and needing another e-bike for my nephew to ride when we go, mostly that dang hub system did it for me. LOL. I dont have much e-bike experience to judge from, but man is that motor/battery...

Whats the story on that rear hub system. I have an original Blade and Im happy with it, although Im relatively new to the e-Bike world.
