Is the CCS legal in Canada (BC)?

According to then law, the motor must "have continuous power output ratings that in total do not exceed 500 watts" I read that the Bafang motor is "Electronically limited to 500W to meet Canadian law. User upgradeable to 650W for off road use". What does "User upgradeable" mean? If I go into...

    Battery charging times

Thats one thing I'm not sure about. Does the graph above seem accurate, i.e 80% is 51.5V for a 48V battery? Also is charging uniform, i.e is that battery charged the same amount each hour?

    Battery charging times

    My current plan is as follows. 1. From the graph, find the current depletion percentage. 47.1V is around 50% 2. 50% of 19.2 ah is 9.6Ah 3. I need to get to 80% of 19.2 Ah, i.e 15.4ah 4. (15.4 - 9.6) / 2 = 2.9 hours Is this right?

Most attachment points are through the axle, and clearly that not a good idea with a hub motor, so I'm looking for alternate ways to attach a trailer. I could always get a new seat post attached...

    40k commute, reliability and rain

Hi all, just joined this forum. I'm in the market for a e-bike to replace a car. I live in Vancouver, so a rain proof bike is absolutely necessary. My commute is 20 km each way, basically flat. My requirements are * Must be reliable, with good long lasting parts. I am not a bike DIY-er, so will...
