That looks very useful. I’ve seen that style of trunk bag and pannier, but have resisted it as I find the trunk setup itself not the size I would normally use most.

Recommended Class 3 ebike (Juiced CCX Purchase)

That’s what I thought any eBike would/could do, but it seemed as though two possible things were going on. First, spinning efficiently at high cadence means you’re putting out less wattage and giving less torque, which means it assists you less. Second, when spinning higher cadence you are using...

Recommended Class 3 ebike (Juiced CCX Purchase)

Well, I did a 26 mile ride this AM. I’ve never covered this much ground this fast, other than riding w a peloton. What a fascinating bike. No technical issues with the bike except for annoying fender rubbing occasionally from the rear wheel that isn’t true. What I find interesting and...

Thank you, these look really good. I’m also considering cutting my bars narrower.

Recommended Class 3 ebike (Juiced CCX Purchase)

Got the bike today. Was very straightforward to put together. Some minor issues probably to be expected from a cheaper internet order bike. The battery wasn’t on the frame, but adjacent to it, so there was minor scratching through the black paint on the down tube unfortunately. Their...

Of course. It works with different models, so you could switch it around.

    Pannier bag recommendations

I just found this: https://www.arkel-od.com/optional-laptop-pouch/ It's a laptop pouch, presumably for a number of their regular panniers. Might be the way to go for varied use.

    Pannier bag recommendations

I wouldn't ride with an empty pannier. It is big, but I need to carry a decent amount of stuff with my computer, lunchbag, shoes, spare clothes. But you're right, the Arkel Commuter looks fantastic, and would be my preference if I didn't need as much stuff. The depth is 6" vs 8".

I think that bag has long been replaced. So you put a different rack on your Juiced, or you ride a different bike altogether?

I spent many years living in SoCal. Used to do regular climbs up the San Gabriel mountains. Great cycling culture and loved it, but yeah, no way we are moving back with housing prices what they are. Spent some months in Oregon and really enjoyed it. Should’ve bought one of the houses I was...

Texas, y’all. I’d take Oregon in a heartbeat, minus the rain!

Recommended Class 3 ebike (Juiced CCX Purchase)

This is a rare, wonderful internet forum. Thanks for all the high fives and support. I have unfortunately moved to a town and county that is really unfriendly to cyclists, so I appreciate it a lot. There aren’t a lot of (if any) safe rides to do from my house that get anywhere close to 80+...

    Pannier bag recommendations

Ortlieb is great, I have some of their new gravel gear, though their plastic connectors are knowing for breaking a lot on serious use. Arkel are also top tier, and some people prefer their hook system, but compatibility with the cheap rack on the Juiced is what I’m most wondering about...

    Pannier bag recommendations

Do they fit on the stock Juiced rack? I’m very familiar with the Ortlieb lineup, but don’t have one yet. their Backroller Urban pannier is one I was going to get for my gravel bike.

Thanks Bruce! Do they rattle much while folded, and also when unfolded and in use?

I will not be riding that fast unless I get some serious gear! 22-24mph will be just peachy. I hope with some decent Shimano pedals, I can get a satisfactory spinning motion going on.

Recommended Class 3 ebike (Juiced CCX Purchase)

@Browneye, I ordered a CCX. I don't necessarily need the range, but the S2 is backordered, and maybe I got suckered into getting a cheap rack. :) I probably would be happier with a mid drive, but it's flat as a pancake here, and I just need to get to work fast/convenient/safe, especially...

    Pannier bag recommendations

So Santa is waiting on my Christmas list, and on it will be a pannier bag for my upcoming CCX. I was reading on some posts here that the Racktime rack that comes with the CCX is pretty weak, and can take up to 20 lbs. Any bag recommendations to pair with it? I do have a Blackburn adjustable fat...

Recommended Class 3 ebike (Juiced CCX Purchase)

Rob, thanks for sharing. This in fact is what I really wanted to do, with a plus sized gravel bike. Are you at Class 3 speeds with that? I haven’t found a lot of eBike support in North Texas (huge business opportunity), and would also prefer to go through a LBS. But as it is, I gave in...
