Probably a bit of snow on the ground. I tried to ride in NW Indiana yesterday on my Yeti 160E and that was hair raising between the snow and ice. I don't think we have near the snow that Michigan has especially around the lake.

I hear it mostly on the Trek Bosch bike when I am not pedaling and going over rough road surfaces but never hear it while I am pedaling. I don't think I do.... The Shimano EP8 is known to have the rattle in the motor when say going down hill not pedaling on mountain bike trails. Mine both...

My Bosch unit and my Shimano ep8 both have similar noises especially if I am not pedaling.

The other thing with the HP is you can easily be doing 20+ mph and if below say 45 that gets pretty chilly. I can mtb at colder temps but then most of the time I am doing 10 mph or under. At least when I motorcycled at 50 and below I had a heated vest and heated hand grips.

I have ridden on a 38 degree day but that is about as cold as I will ride on the road.

We are getting our first snow today! I have ridden a couple times this week. I think that will be on hold for a few days now!
