Hitch rack for Superdelite with fenders?

I use the Thule Easyfold on my Nevo 3, which has fenders and is heavy. It works very well and Thule stood behind their product when I had a problem. The clamp fastens to the seat tube and holds it securely.

Have to pedal like crazy to reach max speeds.... wrong gearing?

I believe what is being referred to as a tensioner is correctly installed. It appears exactly as mine does. You can also check out a clear photo of it from Propel Bikes at 9:28 in this video: . Tension is adjusted with the two screws, one on each side and accessed through the circular opening...

Have to pedal like crazy to reach max speeds.... wrong gearing?

When I first got my Nevo 3 (R&M) I was unable to reach its 28 mph max speed. I corrected the problem by resetting the hub to full overdrive. It's not too complicated and Enviolo has a clear video describing the process:

Traveling home from vacation with Giant ebike. Rain in forecast

Light problem is easily solved with auxiliary light strips like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YXH8FHX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for about $26. Easy to install and seem to hold up. I've had much less luck with bike covers. Still trying to figure out how to...

    Consumer Reports: Ebike Fires

E-bike fires made front page of NYT yesterday: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/06/realestate/e-bikes-fires-danger.html#commentsContainer (paywall). The extremely widespread use of e-bikes in NYC and its high population density make finding solutions difficult if not impossible, The anti e-bike...

Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH Cadence Survey

This may be apples to oranges, but when I first got my Nevi 3 (class 3) which has an Enviolo hub (not automatic), I couldn't get close to 28 mph. I reset the hub to full overdrive and that solved my problem. Here is the information I used...

Is TCD Compatible With Garmin Varia?

The Garmin link doesn't seem to exist. I found several listings for the unit online but all were sold out and some state it was not going to be restocked. May be discontinued.

    Bike related Christmas gifts

Bought my son and grandson Sena pi bluetooth headsets. My grandson, almost 14, tends to let his mind wander a bit. I thought this might might allow his dad to keep him on track while riding. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092P6N95X?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

How many miles have you travelled on the e-bike(s) that you currently own?

Yikes!! I hesitate to post 1,300 + miles on my R&M Nevo3 since I purchased it November 2021 after RabH just told us he's almost biked around the world - at the equator. Of course I could chance it and play the age card (78), but RabH might tell us he's 99. OK, I'm taking my bike to Florida...

Wow, terrible situation. So sorry; hope you bounce back from this setback. Love all of your posts....well not so much the last one. Take care and be well.

Do you still ride your analog bicycle?

I've ridden my e-bike 1,300 miles this year in upstate NY. I try to keep it on eco mode (level 1), but will go to 2 or 3 on hills. Just before heading to Florida for 5 weeks, my rack broke, so I've had to use the 1988 Trek (down tube shifters!) since arriving. First few rides were in strong...

Thule Easyfold XT Problem and Resolution

A few weeks ago I drove back from a group ride. Upon arriving home, I realized the rack was very loose and the keyed knob that allows it to be tightened into the 2 inch hitch was completely missing. The safety arm that goes into the side of the hitch was the only thing holding the rack (and my...

    Step-Thru

Looks great. My R&M Nevo3 has bottle bosses on both sides of the head tube. I didn't like the Fabric bottles, so I attached carbon fiber cages on both sides; works great and doesn't interfere with the ability to step through.

    Thudbuster vs Kinekt seat posts

I too have a Nevo 3 and the same problem with the Thudbuster seat clamp. I redid the entire clamp and made sure I tightened to 16 newtons (quite a bit of torque); seems to be holding for now. If it doesn't, I'll probably switch to Kinekt. Seat post clamps shouldn't be rocket science.

    Atlantic Magazine on ebikes

Totally agree, Mulezen. The author didn't do his homework, and shame on his editor for letting this flimsy article get by. And you're right, The Atlantic generally publishes well researched, thoughtful pieces.

After repair I lost overdrive with Enviolo manual

I had similar problem and eventually got it sorted, but my icon interface was off (hill to Mt Everest). The two internal plastic gears on the shifter display were out of synch, but I was afraid to force them to a new position. How did you do this? Thanks.

    Hi from Upstate NY

I'm told by the former Saratoga Springs city planner that the Saratoga to Zim Smith is being stymied because they can't get a right-of-way from one land owner. Still, things are improving continuously.

    Hi from Upstate NY

The Post Star reported that Class 1 e-bikes would be permitted, although I've never seen any type of enforcement on the bikeway. By the way, the Warren County Bikeway connects (via a few Glens Falls side streets) to the Feeder Canal Towpath, which in turn connects to the Champagne Canal Trail...
