Ebike rack for 2014 Civic sedan

Loos really good, but would ebike with mud guards/fenders be an issue?

Ebike rack for 2014 Civic sedan

Thanks. Yes, removing the battery makes total sense. I also need a rack that accommodates ebikes with fenders/mud guards.

Ebike rack for 2014 Civic sedan

Appreciate any recommendations for an ebike rack for my 2014 Civic sedan. I will be installing a 1 and 1/4 inch Curt hitch. The Thule easy fold platform rack with built in ramps looks very good but is pricey at $1,100.00 Canadian. Curious if others with a similar car have found other options...

    Specialized Turbo Vado 5

Totally agree! Age is a 4 letter word! That 20 mph limit is absolutely ridiculous. I also agree 100% with “less buttons to push” and a less complicated ride. I will try that (if I ever get a mid drive bike before I am 6 feet under!!) idea of max power while only changing the gears. I wonder if...

    Allant 7

Thanks! Great that it is just a software update. $5000.00 Canadian dollars (British Columbia). No freight charge…unless I will be hit with that as a surprise! Yes, high price as our Canadian dollar is pathetic (Thanks Trudope!) I agree with supporting local bike shops, IF they have the Trek bike...

    Bicycle Sports Pacific Vancouver

Hi, Has anyone purchased an ebike from BSP, in Vancouver, BC? I noticed they were advertising an ebike with no incorrect nm on the motor, 75 instead of 85 and online reviews have expressed serious concerns regarding customer service. Thank you!

    Specialized Turbo Vado 5

Thanks for your thoughts! That Vado 5 sure looks like a very impressive bike. It is easily my number 1 Specialized choice. Sadly, the 2022 model, with a different Brose motor, Color centre display, etc., will not be available here in BC for another year at least, from what dealers tell me. And...

    Allant 7

Thank you! I finally found a shop near Vancouver, BC that told me they have an X-Large Trek Allant 7 scheduled to arrive at the end of this May. I was very happy to hear that, BUT, 3 issues concern me: 1) they want me to order it via their online sales and pay the full price of $5000. plus tax...

    Allant 7

Thanks. Very true. Sadly, found out earliest date to get Trek 7 is end of January, if not later. Looks like Giant Explore Pro by end of August will be my decision.

Trek Allant 7 versus Specialized Turbo Vada 4 or 5 versus Giant Explore Pro

Thank you! I am ready to make a deposit to secure a Giant Explore Pro for the end of this August. Found the only available one, at a dealer approximately 3 hours from where I live. I will make one last check re the Trek Allant 7. Toss up for me re which one but I am leaning towards the Giant...

Trek Allant 7 versus Specialized Turbo Vada 4 or 5 versus Giant Explore Pro

Thanks. I have tried an Allant 7 with a large size and both that dealer and I thought an extra large would fit better. The same holds true for the Giant Explore.I have about a 34 inch inseam. I have yet to check that on a Specialized bike.

Trek Allant 7 versus Specialized Turbo Vada 4 or 5 versus Giant Explore Pro

Thanks…most appreciated! Riding season here March through December, with occasional 20 F. But, want bike asap.

    Allant 7

Hi, Thank you…most appreciated! And, I too would drive a long way (at least 100 miles) to grab a preferred bike. I will try access Trek’s website. Dodgers all the way!

Trek Allant 7 versus Specialized Turbo Vada 4 or 5 versus Giant Explore Pro

Hi, Trying to decide between Trek Allant, Specialized Turbo Vada 4 or 5, or Giant Explore Pro. 6’3 so need XL. Apart from a 1 km (.6 mile) steep hill that I need to take to and from my daily rides, 90% of riding is on hard packed gravel trails with occasional small hills. No desire to ride on...

Trek Allant 7 versus Giant Explore Pro

Thank you…most appreciated! Availability is the biggest challenge. I might best grab whatever becomes available in the XL size, Trek Giant, or Specialized Vado 5. With my serious lung issues, I rather grab one sooner than later! What makes, in your opinion, that Vado better than either the Trek...

    Specialized Turbo Vado 5

Hi, Appreciate thoughts on Vado 5 versus Trek Allant 7. Trying to decide between them. Hill climbing important. 90% hard gravel trails. Older with lung issues. Thought these 2 are better than Giant Explore Pro. Tuanks!

Trek Allant 7 versus Giant Explore Pro

Hi, At 6’3 and 220 pounds, trying to decide between the Trek Allant 7 and the Giant Explore Pro. Main concern is rather steep hill about 1 km (.6 mile) long that I must traverse to get to great river trails (hard packed gravel and natural ground). I am nearing 70 with one lung, so an ebike is...

    Allant 7

Hi, Impressed with my first mid drive brief test ride today on the Allant 7. At 6'3, the xlarge seems best fit. But, none available until January!! Main key is the ability to climb steep hills, more so than with current Moscow plus hub drive. Look forward to recommendations re stem riser...
