    TCD Display Settings

I thought the same thing...ODO in big font and no data. Then I looked closer...the mileage is in very small numbers...at least that is my experience. I don't know if you can change it.

    Spring vs Air

Thanks for the info, I just never had a spring shock before. And that's good advice, wait until I ride it for a while before making or adding changes, if any. The only good thing about waiting for a new bike is that you age more slowly. Really looking forward to it after reading all these mostly...

    Spring vs Air

I should be getting my Turbo Vado 4.0 ST in about a month according to the LBS. So other than the test ride I have no experience with it. Questions: Is there any substantial difference in a spring shock over an air fork? Which one lasts longer or are they similar in endurance? Any other advice...

Turbo Vado 4.0 vs 5.0 chainring query.

Thanks for the reference....I checked it out and it answered all my questions. They almost seem even when it comes to climbing hills, so I'll stick with the 4.0 I was going to get it the other day, but they didn't have my size, so I ordered the 2021. Should be here late September...can't wait...

Thanks for the thoughtful replies....I'll check into the Como/Vado users section.

Turbo Vado 4.0 vs 5.0 chainring query.

Ok, here's the issue. I live in an area with many hills. So for me, climbing is more of an issue than speed. The Vado 4.0 has a 40t front chainring vs the 5.0 which has a 48t front chainring. Both the 4.0 and the 5.0 have a max low rear cassette of 42t. So based on the math, the 4.0 will be the...

    Road E1 Differences

Thank you for the responses. I think the Pro is for mountain bikes only.

    Road E1 Differences

I think I've answered my own question...the difference is the 2017 has a Giant SyncDrive Sport, 80 NM, 250W Yamaha motor, and the 2018 has a Giant SyncDrive Sport, 80 NM, 500W Yahama motor. So the difference seems to be 500 vs 250 Watts. But this raises another question.... Would you notice...

    Road E1 Differences

Does anyone know the difference, if any, between the 2018 Road E1 and the 2017 Road E1. I checked the specs and they look the same, but maybe I'm missing something.

    Road E 1 tires

Will the Giant Road E 1 fit tires larger than 32 mm?

    Turbo Levo Motor Temperature

When I finished my MTB ride today, I checked the Mission Control App, and the battery temperature was 90 degrees which was the current temperature of this hot day. The motor temperature showed 136 degrees. Is this a bad thing? Does anyone know of a temperature that would be too hot for...

    Battery Issue

Mtnm, Thanks for the reply. I took my bike to the place where I bought it, and he test rode it and the battery failed again. So since the battery is still under warranty, I get a new one free. It's on the way, however, I'll believe it when I see it.

    2018 Tamland IE price question

2018 Tamland IE listed for $3500 at Ebikes of New England, everywhere else, $4750. I might be interested, but I wonder why the discrepancy? If this price shows up at the LBS, I'm in and will test ride it. It's a great looking bike and gets good reviews. Anyone have experience on this bike?

    2016 E3 Vibe question

Does anyone know how to set the trip odometer to zero on the Currie display of the 2016 IZIP E3 Vibe? The manual is misprinted and includes a button to hold that doesn't exist. I don't want to guess and end up changing vital settings that I know nothing about. Thanks, Rich

    REI vs LBS

I think due to warranty and liability issues only certified techs are allowed to work on certain aspects of a particular brand of ebike.

    REI vs LBS

Mr Coffee, I live near Pittsburgh. If you check the Stomer Store Locater you'll see one to the west in Ohio is 90 miles, the next closest 100 miles in Cleveland. Not many stores sell Stromers, so that's as local as they get.

    REI vs LBS

I've noticed that REI has the same ST1 as at the LBS dealer. REI is local, the LBS for Stromer is actually 90 miles away. What would be the better place? The LBS which sells and has certified Stromer techs, or go local at REI which can get the bike but they sounded vague about repairs. I hate to...

    Potential Stromer Buyer

Actually, I like the aspect of the regen braking on steep hills. I don't like fast descents with tree shadows hiding dangerous potholes. Plus it adds life to the brakes. All in all a good thing. I suspected the recharging claims are exaggerated, just like they do on cars.
