How Much Cardio Can You Get From Electric Bikes?

So I'm coming from a Specialized Roubaix to a Specialized Creo and my workouts 'feel' more intense to me. I say feel because I wasn't using a heart rate monitor as much before because it's a recent addition to my workouts. I'm age 53 and lately my BPM has been mid 130's on 30-40 mile rides. My...

    Noise Creo Motor

When did you get your creo? I got about mine 4 months ago. Funny you brought that up though because I test road last years creo first before I ordered mine and the motor did sound significantly louder than my current Creo which is this years model (2021)

    General Creo questions

Good search. As I suspected people have different results. One guys carbon seat lasted three years on bad roads..It failed but he didn't crash over it ..someone lasted 4 years and going strong.. Kinda curious too...if there was a failure wouldn't it be likely for one rail to fail while the...

    General Creo questions

Hey consider this.. is riding this seat to failure any more or less stupid than riding in traffic, iffy road conditions, iffy weather, etc etc..even my carbon rims can fail. I had an aluminum rim that did fail. Your seat failed...you survived. I've crashed...you've crashed...we've all crashed...

    Noise Creo Motor

Same exact thing going on with my Creo and my wife's Como. Her Como is silent always while mine makes a whine at higher speeds and climbs. No big deal to me. It's not unbearable by any stretch. Oh and ps....her bike is in the shop right now due to motor failure and is being replaced under...

    General Creo questions

Well it's too bad they have to charge us a fortune for a seat and we have to play guessing games on the outcome. Their three year rule doesn't really say much except it being a general guideline. How can it be anything else? Riders of different weights, climates, and usage all get the same...

    General Creo questions

I dunno.. I might ride it until it at least cracks or sags. This three year rule is precise yet vague. People ride under different conditions...Hypothetically...a bike sits around unridden for three years...its still bad? Or...I ride my bike a lot...say three times a week a couple hours each...

    General Creo questions

Yeah I wonder what happens after three years.. does it eject us or something?? I mean what do we have to look out for because it's hard to spend another $500 just cuz they say to. If after three years I'm still not sore riding it dump it anyway?? C'mon Specialized let's not be mysterious...spell...

    General Creo questions

I was wondering what your general reaction was to getting it. Glad you got both sizes to try and found the bigger saddle to your liking. Like I said the seat didn't blow me away first sitting on it but my sit bones are not as sore after my long rides. I wanted a seat that I could tolerate...

Trek Domane+ HP 7 vs Specialized Turbo Creo SL Carbon Comp

Plus it occurred to me too that someone may prefer the removable battery on the HP7. That allows more versatility in how to store/transport/charge the bike. With my Creo that is not a huge issue because I have the room in my home. Plus I could always buy the range extender battery which would be...

Trek Domane+ HP 7 vs Specialized Turbo Creo SL Carbon Comp

I'm glad you like your bike..that is THE most important thing. Plus having local support from your bike shop is a very very important factor that would weigh heavily in a decision on which bike to get. I'm in my lbs so often I know all their names...lol. Again they are both great bikes that...

Trek Domane+ HP 7 vs Specialized Turbo Creo SL Carbon Comp

I like that both of these bikes exist because they give us options. I own the Creo expert but in certain situations I could see where the HP7 would have an advantage(s). The Domane definitely has more power but in my world that isn't the end all. I like the Creo because it's a little lighter...

    The e-bike under exercising myth.

The biggest misconception is ebikers aren't trying that hard or getting quality exercise. These generally are people that have never tried an ebike. The truth is with an ebike you can not only customize your workout but your biking experience in general. People that want cardio will get...

No longer using the Creo for road riding

That's pretty subjective in nature. It depends on effort levels but other things as well. If being on a ebike makes one ride more often or try harder then their physical fitness will improve more than with an analog bike that they only feel so so about. Attitudes affect workouts.

Yeah he's a real nice guy. I forget his name because I only dealt with him once. He's in great shape. Not an ounce of fat on this guy...a true cyclist if I ever saw one. He has that seat too. Another recommendation while I'm thinking about it...I hear these seats get dirty easily (because of...

I suspect it won't fit your current post because the rails are slightly oblong shaped. But was thinking maybe the clamp could just screw on top the KINEXT you currently have....maybe

    General Creo questions

Thats how I would sum it up too. It's kind of a subtle thing...not going to blow you away but it is effective. I basically would say it keeps the sit bones from feeling bruised. It is firm but to push down on it there is give. Just the right balance between comfort and support without too much...

    General Creo questions

Whoa that seatpost IS AMAZING...Didn't know something like that existed. It would seem odd that the clamp couldn't be incorporated into it. You might just have to get it all and see what can be done...if anything. But wow the Sworks mirror seat combined with that seat post would be the pinnacle...

I didnt see any spacers included with my exp Creo but my old 2017 Roubaix had one...it says on it future shock...limit to 6... right on the thing. I guess its a spacer...dont know if it would fit my Creo. Gonna talk to my bike shop today about it all. My wife's Como 3.0 is in there already with...
