    Throttle that works

oof - shipment is killing me on the throttle order! Finally got a hold of the guy and got an invoice, 50 euro! If he had more than just a few I'd order all he has and resale here to get some money back and get people throttles without that nasty shipping charge... Hope it's worth it - I think...

    Hydra as a commuter?

Floppy fenders bother me. I ordered a Mucky Nutz for the rear on mine to keep debris off my butt and dropper post but it has not arrived yet - I wish there were a few nicer options for fat tires out there but at least it was cheap if it doesn't work well. Wild the suspension travels enough for...

Pretty good numbers and I do agree tracking numbers is fun when they're relevant - especially when they're relevant to efficiency and mileage. Those power meter cranks are no joke pricey but glad you're getting a big kick out of them. This is something I've really been curious about - rider...

    Hydra as a commuter?

To be clear the rotors I have are the two-piece style. Not as easy to true as you're kind of twisting the ring around those rivets. The rivets hold them in place well but they also allow for a lot of flex. Maybe a shop with a rotor truing jig will have a much easier time than me with hand tools...

    Hydra as a commuter?

It certainly seems worse on the 220s than the 203s and I swear I can see a part where one of them doesn't have a sharp edge all the way around at one point it's a bit of a bevel. The MDR-P's are a bit of an extra pain because the actual steel braking surface is just a ring around the aluminum...

    Hydra as a commuter?

I'm going through this mess right now... 3 different 220mm MDR-P rotors, 2 different 203mm MDR-P rotors. None of them are perfectly true and I suspect this is either because they are die cut (stamped) or heat from cutting (not using water jet or lube or dull bits or... idk). I'm beginning to...

    Throttle problem

@Fast n' Furious I think you are mistaken - as far as documentation & video shows there is no option in the X1 software to set the throttle signals range like in the Bafang stock software as was being discussed. There is just throttle power, which is as described in the Innotrace documentation...

    Throttle that works

@tomjasz https://e-bikestuff.com/en/12-throttles but looks like they are out on holidy until next week so the store is inaccessible. They've got several different plug versions and then the thumb paddle one pictures above as well as a 'trigger' which isn't as much of a trigger as it is the same...

    Throttle that works

Really nice! Apparently they're out on holidy until next week I'll have to shoot them an email and see if they have any in stock. Like you I really just want a throttle for walk assist or to get moving on very technical terrain where pedaling may cause a strike. I'm going to see about leveraging...

    Throttle that works

Here's the wiring diagram for the M620 connections. Just need to solder the julet on correctly. @scrambler is the Domino throttle pretty much married to the grip that comes with it or does it look like there's any way to remove the grip? Would be worth a try to switch it over to a thumb throttle...

    Hydra as a commuter?

With the Dollar & Euro so close in value it's a done deal to order EU goods from EU retailers. Their retail prices by law include their VAT, and often times their retail prices are cheaper than our retail prices. Kicker is being a non-EU resident means you don't pay that 19% VAT (it bounces...

Word of advice, I've been warned by others to be careful with mounts that fix your phone to the frame or handlebars like that. Even with rubber material more than one person has mentioned that the constant shock and vibrations from riding affected the focus or zoom on their camera. A lot of the...

    Throttle that works

KW swapped a Honeywell SS49E hall sensor in their throttle for better response. The response curve of the sensor in the stock throttle has very little response in the beginning and end or its range so the actual response curve is kind of steep (small wiggles in the throttle position amount to...

Kindernay observations and few questions for Pushkar

The Nicolai bikes have 160mm rear travel - I thought Hydra has 150mm? The R+M is definitely way lower though. I think suspension geometry has more to do with it along with frame flex. I want to say I recall seeing somewhere in a thread Pushkar mentioned frame flex being an issue for the Hydra...

Kindernay observations and few questions for Pushkar

Gates belts have very very low tolerance for angular and axial alignment, there are other belt drives that aren't as popular like Veer Split Belt that are more forgiving and don't require a special frame. There are very very full suspension bikes with belt drives especially Gates because there's...

    Hydra as a commuter?

That small frame size looks soo much better to me! The seat tube looks straight enough that you'd be able to cram a 150mm or maybe even taller dropper in there - even as a 6' guy I'd almost prefer that, if the reach isn't too scrunched up. I think the only thing you'd need to swap are the grips...

    Hydra as a commuter?

@kwseattle what glove size are you and how do you prefer the different sizes on the PNW grips? I'm looking at some new grips because my old ones are tearing... I get a little numbness in my ring and pinky fingers on longer rides which led me to get an Ergon set which I liked - but I don't want...

The 750C display fits nicely at the center of the bars over the stem, has the extra little button dongle. I have a 500C and I think this is the smallest Bafang display that gets you all the info in a bright color display. My issue with the 500C is it sticks up off the handlebars a lot more than...

@bexamous definitely a good reason to get a torque wrench if you don't have one and some blue permatex threadlocker gel. I know loctite says use less torque with threadlocker but screw that. Dab of the gel, twist those puppies in to whatever torque spec it says, let it cure. When you look at...
