The motor is a mxus xf15r, limited to 250w. I opened the motor and it had nylon gears, not metal. You should be able to buy a mxus motor, direct replacement :) I tried a kun ray 350w motor but it did not work properly (it worked but very slow and noisy). It needed a controller upgrade.

Current 48V batteries give 54+v when fully charged, so I am assuming 52V batteries will give even more (58+?). Don't know it that would be too much... Battery readings will be wrong for sure, but if you don't burn the controller, you will have more power for longer trips.

I bought a 18ah battery from Aliexpress some months ago and it works perfectly, I inmediately sold the original once I tested it, because it lasts a lot more! Good Luck!
