    Swiss trip 2016

One short sharp climb. Not a bad elevation gain given the short mileage! https://www.strava.com/activities/656138180/shareable_images/map_based?hl=en-GB&v=1469697382

    KTM is seeking eBike ambassadors

They are in the brochure, and I even have one sitting at home, or are you just talking US market? I'd lnk to them, but I'm in France tonight and sadly only have limited access.

    KTM is seeking eBike ambassadors

I'm puzzled why they didn't mention anything as basic as that. If it helps, here is the 2017 guide. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7xrqyHdx9IeX3JqYWlrbGxnT3M/view

    Swiss trip 2016

The bike is now loading and good to go. Pic from last, but all is just the same. I shall certainly be exploring the area in the next valley. I have also been exploring the possibilities of doing the following route, as I have previously completed the lower sections, but not the upper.

Don't forget that some of the KTM Macina range use a front wheel dynamo system, which is actually very good, and remains on for quite some time when sitting stationary. They should have mentioned that. If you are talking about the Bosch motor and fitting lights directly to it, then that isn't...

To go tubeless or not to go tubeless

That is a question that I often hear asked on ebike forums. The following is just my take on the subject specifically in relation tooff road use, away from any metalled/tarmac surface. Looking briefly at tyres which is an all together different subject, many new eMTB's are supplied with very...

Long distance....3,000+ miles in 30-45 days

I think that is a very valid point George, and one that I would agree with.

tubes or tubeless with mr tuffy liners for radrover?

Before beginning, here is a guide written by Court. https://electricbikereview.com/guides/ebike-flat-tire-fix-tips/ If time permits before shooting off to Switzerland, I'll add a how to go tubeless thread to the eMTB/trail section. Oddly I was going to do it last night. Thorns aside, one of my...

Neither can I now. How odd.

    emergency kit for rain

One little addition that I do carry, but wouldn't recommend trying to cycle with it, is a fold up disposable poncho. As an emergency way of keeping yourself or the bike covered, they are very good. Don't try to cycle in one though, as they get caught in the rear wheel within seconds. Not that...

    Swiss trip 2016

I've been sitting down looking at Google earth trying to work out some very ambitious routes, and I have a big hankering to try to either get to, or down from the Schilthorn, Piz Gloria, elevation 9,744ft, Lauterbrunnen where we are staying is 2,631ft. I have no idea if it even possible, but I...

3rd flat in under a month (Radwagon)

Barkme Wolf, you mention rain, and something that many people aren't aware of is that in wet conditions, tyre/tires puncture far more easily. I run a tubeless set up, so punctures are never an issue for me.

    emergency kit for rain

I must admit that I don't give second thought to riding in adverse weather conditions. Over here in the UK if I did, I'd never get out for a ride. With obvious caution and care, I'd imagine that most modern, factory built and supplied ebikes can handle bad weather. :) If you haven't already...

How very odd. I'm definitely logged in, and I have tried viewing with both IE and Chrome. Don't stress over it. :)

    KTM is seeking eBike ambassadors

Both designs certainly have their merits, and owning both designs, I can confirm that neither should disappoint. Hardtail V full suspension is very much a personal decision though, but my hardtail is my go to bike if that makes sense. A few plus points of hardtail ownership are as follows...

May be moving to Vienna, Austria, will need commuter e-bike

Jolly, they certainly make a very durable bike. The 2017 range can be seen here. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7xrqyHdx9IeX3JqYWlrbGxnT3M/view en2ec, you will find that the European market has a pretty impressive range of competitively priced and hopefully affordable ebikes, and I also...
