    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

Wow, that's a strange word "law". I was wondering, according to the LAW, what is the difference in specifications between a Class 1 bike and a Class 3 Bike. I know that a Class 3 eBike typically is more expensive so it has higher grade equipment but what are the LAW/S that stipulated...

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

eBike manufacturers continue to make derestricting speed more difficult each year. I understand the pressure to keep manageable speed limits for public roads and trails but the 25kph of some countries doesn't seem reasonable to me. The times I curse my speed limit is on long smooth grades...

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

MRB, forunately there are a number of good options to derestrict your Trance. You mentioned that you rejected the BadAssBox 4 because you need to move the speed sensor and bode-up a spoke magnet. Sorry but I don't know what bode-up means but my installation of BadAssBox 4 took around two...

    Fender / mudguard mount question

I don't understand why many e-Bikes are poorly equipped for touring or trekking. No water bottle bungs, no fenders..really.

    Fender / mudguard mount question

Don't know what that is called but I purchased these fenders for my Explore E+ 4 (2020). They mounted quickly and with full 3/4 wheel coverage looked awesome. It gives the Explore a very Retro-British look. Unfortunately when I swapped over to 60 mm wide tires I had to replace the fenders...

Giant AUTO Mode: A No Go

I really thought Version 1.4.2 was the best example of AUTO mode. In the latest version (1.4.5) it's not natural feeling and the motor will unexpectedly surge. The software/firmware developers don't appear to know how to interpret and integrate data coming from the sensors. I feel that a slight...

Explore E+1 - free play in front suspension fork

I had a RST suspension fork on my Explore E+ that was totally worthless. It felt like I was steering with a wet noodle. I think overall the RST branded forks are the weakest link in the Giant model line. Your instinct of swapping over to a rigid fork is sound. If I could have found a tappered...

Explore E+1 - free play in front suspension fork

You have a high end Explore E+ model so I don’t suspect that your factory fork would be a terrible as mine was. I have the base E+4 model which had a pathetic fork that I updated with a Fox Flow 29” fork. It made an astonishing improvement in overall ride. I know that a number of forum member...

Explore E+1 - free play in front suspension fork

Upper or lower stem bearnings are loose. Simple fix to tighten or better yet replace with new Giant FSA sealed bearings. Made a big difference for me.

    Explore+3 +4 GTS And Sister Amiti - Review • Comments • Q&A

I use my Explore E+ strictly as a Plug and Play device. So far it's been uber dependable and it fit's my needs to a T. I really don't have the temperament for anything else at this stage in my life.

Trump stops sale of BadAssBox 4 for Giant ebikes

Thank you for the clarification Jansy123. Where is it that you are so fortunate to live? I know that some regions have a 15 mph limit. Not reasonable at all.

Trump stops sale of BadAssBox 4 for Giant ebikes

It's a eBike speed delimiter. Attaches to eBike speed sensor to remove 20 MPH cutout. Used for private property only and not legal on public roads.

Trump stops sale of BadAssBox 4 for Giant ebikes

I wanted to purchase version 4 of BadAssBox for my 2020 Explore E+ but was surprise that at the BadAssBox Web site there was no selection in drop down menu to ship to the US. When I asked BadAssBox why I received the following memo . Andreas Staudt <[email protected]> 7:23 AM...

    Syncdrive pro motor whining noise

My Explore E+ does make a similar whine under heavy torque but not nearly as loud. It may just be the placement of your mic My partner's La Free also is wispier quite. She has the belt drive so it make no noise. I don't know if it's my imagination but I started to notice the 'whine' after...

Energypak Plus range extender for 2020 bikes

I came close to draining the battery one time when touring a scenic Maine coastal route. I think is was almost 50 miles and I had plenty power when I parked it for the day. (Almost 30%) I guess the battery range is design by Giant for people like me.

    Syncdrive pro motor whining noise

No idea but let me be Captain Oblivious and say I would take bike back to whoever replaced it and ask them if motor is functioning properly.
