best place to buy a second batter for rad rhino

No I have a spare large battery when I will be touring (like over 150 km (~90 miles)/day) but it is large and cumbersome. For my commuting, I'll stick to the Rad battery which is only 6 months old (purchased my Rhino this past June).

best place to buy a second batter for rad rhino

Thanks for the link. Thing is I still want to use the regular Rad battery. I am not sure how easily I would have been able to do it after soldering a XT90 connector.

best place to buy a second batter for rad rhino

This is the only place where I found a Rad to XT90 adaptor and it has been sold out since like past may or June https://boltonebikes.com/collections/batteries/products/radpower-battery-adapter I ordered mine in July and still haven't receive it (it is finally en route after almost 6 months)...

All singing all dancing rear rack for Rad Rhinoe (rover)

I have used my motorcycle soft luggage (with straps), it fits easily on the stock rear rack. My only advice would be to watch out for the carrying weight. I have found various official Rad sources stating the rear rack max carrying weight is something between 18 kg (40 lbs) and 28 kg (62 lbs)...

First 1000 miles on my 2020 Rad Rover

I had to replace my front pads at 1000 km (~600 miles) and I'm on the lightweight side (70 kg / 150 pounds).

    USB Charger?

This is pure speculation since I don't use the display to charge my phone (I have a separated powerbank, old habit that stayed). In my experience working in various electronic stuff with China, I know for a lot of cheap devices use poor quality USB port. I wouldn't be surprised if Rad (or the...

    Upgrade battery options

Are you going to replace the battery or use the new one as an additional one ? Connectivity is not the same, so I guess either you're gonna use an adapter (I only saw one at Bolton ebikes, but it's sold out) or replace the old Rad plug with the new one (XT90 or Anderson I believe).

2nd Round of my Rhino's (Rover) Upgrades for Long Distance riding

I already did that on the step two when I received my upgraded controller. Acceleration is much better.

2nd Round of my Rhino's (Rover) Upgrades for Long Distance riding

So first things first. I can do the basic stuff on my bikes if I have too. Changing tires/tubes, changing drive system/cassette/freewheel, changing cables, replacing the chain, etc.... but I don't like it at all and I wouldn't say I'm good at it. I learned the basics because I used to be a non...

Battery stolen. Time for an upgrade?

If you buy an aftermarket battery, you're gonna need either an adapter to plug in the battery (usually XT90 but it can be another plug) or adapt your bicycle's cable (meaning cutting and the putting the right plug).

    Solar power bike possible?

Highly possible but depending on the energy needed, you can end up with big panels. I would advise you to watch a few videos of the Sun Trip race, people are doing it to be able to use their ebike all day long but I suppose if you only need to ride a few hours, you can cut down the panels...

    Brake Pads lifespan

As expected, we use brakes at a much higher average speed than non electric bicycles, especially when commuting. We accelerate to get away from a crowded situation and then we could use the brakes immediately after. And, our e bikes weigh twice (if not more) as much as our traditional bicycles.

Completed my RadRunner upgrade/modification, Phase 1

Looks really really cool. Love your panniers. Do you have a link for your rear mirrors ? I bought some "classic" ones (go upwards) but the lack of real estate of the handlebar adds some difficulties to adjust them correctly.

    Re-tired

I have a mini Lezyne floor pump for my longer travels. It is a bit expensive for a pump but it is one of the best if you are traveling, it also has a pressure meter which is very useful. For commuting, just a regular cheap hand pump, tires levers and 2 tubes.

    Brake Pads lifespan

I will probably upgrade my brakes next Spring too. I feel like the stock brakes work fine for commuting, I may need more power for longer trips and a higher lifespan would be nice too. I am still on my "first round" of upgrades. Still awaiting for my Bolton controller kit to arrive and some...

    Brake Pads lifespan

Just out of curiosity, how long have last your brake pads. Of course, it's expected to see a great variety in longevity given the many factors we have to take into account - riding style, weight, etc... - I have a 2020 Rad Rhino (US Rover), I weigh 70 kg (~ 150 lbs), I'm changing my pads after...

Radrover Controller & Display Upgrade Kit

Indeed, I got te freewheel, it's just that in French I'm used to call it a cassette even when it's a freewheel (we do also make the distinction though).

Radrover Controller & Display Upgrade Kit

Anyone has ordered on Bolton's website this summer and receive the kit ? I'm still waiting for the kit to be shipped (ordered it in early July). I contacted Bolton last Friday, awaiting a response from them. I already receive my new 750 W hub motor and my new cassette, just waiting for my kit...

Is the Radrunner EU worth it?

We got a new controller in the EU Rad bikes, meaning, it won't put more than 250 W (at least of the Rhino, I cruise at around 35 km/h (22 mph), can't really reach the top speed of 40 km/h (24 mph)). The Runner got a new geared motor I believe, for city commuting, I feel like is quite enough if...

New bikes for old tail bones. Looking for suggestions.

I use ISM saddles for all my bicycles (electric or not). The shape is a bit odd but it suits me perfectly and I used to do very long rides (up to 12 hours). It's not for everyone, there several models, some a suited for city touring like this one : https://ismseat.com/comfort-saddles/ The...
