Snowbird here in South Florida from Montreal

Sounds like you're really enjoying your new bike! I've got a 2019 Giant Explore E+1 GTS... currently with the motor removed in order to install a device to get me more speed (BikeSpeed RS). I just got my bike in November but still managed to put on about 1000km before winter hit. I use it to...

Snowbird here in South Florida from Montreal

Welcome! Our roads are still very snow covered and it's COLD! And by tomorrow night we're expecting up to another 25-30cm!!! Stay down in Deerfield Beach as long as you can! M2S XT (as you say) or XC? Be safe!

    Ride Control Firmware

Congrats on the new bike!!! Ride it in good (safe) health!

    Scwalbe Marathon Plus

What was the size of the stock tires? What size are the new ones? IF they are the same, the readouts (speed, distance) should be the same. But if the tires are a different size, my understanding is that there is no way (not even the dealer) to recalibrate the computer for the new size.

    Ride Control Firmware

Really? That's a bummer! If that's the case, unless there is some other significant reason to update the firmware, I'll stick with the version I have. I often use the walk function... with a loaded bike pushing it up our loading ramp is just a lot easier with walk assist and I often end up...

    Ride Control Firmware

Why did you have to push your bikes nearly a mile up a hill? Battery dead and you weren't able to ride? And where did you hear/read that walk assist wasn't working? It certainly has been working for me on my 2019 Explore E+1. And my RideControl EVO hasn't been updated. Yet. The update...

    Ride Control Firmware

I guess I wasn't clear... I check for app updates (meaning ANY installed app) using the Apple App Store app. And just this morning it presented an update to the Giant RideControl app.

    Ride Control Firmware

Using my iPhone, I check for app updates every day... sometimes even more often. And just minutes ago I was presented with an update to the RideControl e-bike app. It says that it will also update the e-bike to the latest firmware and mentinoes the change to walk assist mentioned above. It...

    Hello from North Bay, ON

Welcome Gord! I'm sure you will really enjoy your new e-bike. But be careful! (I'm a long time motorcycle rider who's never had a serious accident other than once breaking a thumb while dropping my K1300GT in my driveway after a grueling 10 hour ride in pouring rain, and also a long time...

    Giant tubeless system experiences

I just looked at that video you linked to... When you give up on that method :) and decide to get a charger pump, take a look at the new one from Giant. I forget the make/model that is always suggested, but the Giant one was half the price. And it works REALLY well. Also pay particular...

    Giant tubeless system experiences

No, you're not restricted on tire brand. Which E+ (you didn't say) do you have? If you have one with fenders, you just have to make sure you get a tire that isn't so large that it rubs against the fenders. Also, be aware if you change to a different tire size, the computer will be off for...

    Giant tubeless system experiences

You might want to check out my thread about what I went through changing from the stock tube system to tubeless on my E+1 GTS. Mounting Tubeless... Tricks?

    Giant EVO Display

NO! !!!! That USB charging port is NOT for charging the EVO... it's for powering an external accessory. I use mine to power my iPhone. The EVO has no battery backup (so doesn't need charging) and takes its power from the bike's battery. I keep my iPhone on a mount on the handlebars and...

2020 GIANT Explore-E+ Maximum Range Expectations

Take what the computer suggests for range with a grain of salt. You really need to actually ride the bike to get a feel for the range. That model has the EVO on it? You are aware I hope, that different size tires will affect the accuracy of the readouts for both speed and distance. It's a...

    New Schwalbe Marathon E Plus

The E3 doesn't have fenders if I'm not mistaken... I have a 2019 E+1 with fenders and the stock tires are 622 x 45. I'm afraid that a 622 x 55 would be too wide and interfere with the fenders. Not to mention changing the speed and distance readout. The 622 x 47 would probably be my best bet...

    Hi from Daventry

You lost me there with the "...walking across the floor on its own..." E+1 GTS... 2019? If I'm not mistaken, other than in North America there might be a 2020 E+1 available.

    Hi from Daventry

Welcome, Pete! Is that a 2020 model? I've got a 2019 Explore E+1 and love it.

    Fastroad E+ EX PRO

In fall I found a little bit of information about the new 2020 models and at first glance the Fastroad E+ EX Pro seemed to be what I wanted. But I was turned off by the small battery, lack of front suspension and smaller wheels (smaller than on the Explore E+). And comparing components, I also...

    2020 Giant Explore E+ 2 GTS, I think I found my bike!

It can be a bit difficult to try a bike before you buy, and then even more difficult to actually buy one! In fall I was lucky enough to get an Explore E+3 to try for a day and I liked it, but found the (medium) frame a bit too large for comfort. I was thinking that I would wait for the 2020...

Hello from Mississauga Canada with Pedago and a Vado 4.0

Hello, Just a friendly suggestion... instead of tacking your question onto other people's threads, it would really be best if you started your own thread, with an informative title so that anyone who might be able to help you would see the topic and hopefully jump in. I've seen your question...
