    Making my own ebike if....

The Fairdale Taj 26" bmx is going back together! I still gotta breakdown the hubs and re-grease them. So, here's my dilemma. I can rebuild it back to stock and enjoy a 26" bmx bike. Plus, if I don't like it as much as I hope I can always pass it forward. Or, I can make it a fun ebike. I need to...

    Lectric vs Aventon vs Globe

For the price the Lectric Xpedition is hard to beat. They even make fishing pole holders! On a longer cargo style ebike the front suspension is kinda useless. But if you really want front suspension on a Xpedition get the Mooncool version/knock-off of the Xpedition.

    Lectric vs Aventon vs Globe

The Globe ST is much shorter than a Xpedition. You wont get a Globe LT at your $2500 limit. I have a Xpedition and I love it. It does everything I ask it to do. I use it mainly to ride 2-up. I've yet to test ride a Globe Haul LT. I keep reading good reviews on it and I kinda like the idea of at...

XPedition feedback: good design, bad execution

The best part of getting a flat on a Xpedition is flipping it over! I've added Mr. Tuffy tire liners to my Xpedition BEFORE I got a flat! Not a flat free gurantee but it lowers the odds (i hope!). Plus, I can see how the wheel comes off in the comfort of my home and not the side of the road! It...

I made a star nut installer.

I had to purchase a mid-bottom bracket bearing press tool. I was gonna make one but just ended up buying one for $15. Sometimes my time is worth more to me than digging thru a hardware store nut and bolt section. Nice to know there is a tool for star nuts. I've seen dummies smack them in with...

ISO e-bike with a saddle height of 28" or less and a throttle

JackRabbit OG with a extra battery or 2, or go large with the XG. Slam the seat as far down as it will go and coast off into the sunset! I've been considering getting one to replace my heavy and cumbersome XP 3.0. The XP 3.0 is a great ebike but I want something very light and easy to toss in...

E-bike w/ 48v 10 Ah battery used at low speeds mostly

To throw a bit of opinion on Santa's question, you will need to huff the pedals at a real low PAS setting. I'm outta shape and my Lectric ebikes are heavy, inefficient monsters. I can't keep up a doable cadence in PAS 1 or 2 unless I like going REALLY slow, so my ebikes live in PAS 3 most of the...

    Making my own ebike if....

Success! The vice that made it happen. That gold seat post was a bear! My co-worker helped me wrestle the seat post and the bottom bracket.

    (2) standard (OEM) batteries or (1) long range battery

If I keep my XP at 15mph max it will go pretty far with easy/minimum effort from the pedals. I stay at 13mph most of the time so I can use the speed when needed and not worry about running out of battery. Note this about the XP 3.0. If you have it in PAS 3 the speed is around 14ish mph and the...

    Life Gone in an Instant

My wife always says "When it's your time, it's your time! Nothing can stop it." I've been "warned" by death (falling off motorcycles, bad drugs, getting shot at) but never got the full consequence.

    Which is better?

Nvreloader, those steering locks on motorcycles and scooters, that lock the handlebars in a turned position, are a joke. A good kick on two will snap the locking mechanism in the steer tube. Now, those brake lever locks, I have no personal experience with. I've seen people use them and generally...

No information on the Jasion e bikes -too new ?

There are so many ebike companies fighting for your dollar! Did you check YouTube? I always find reviews no matter how obscure something is. But back to the ebike by Jasion. If you're just bumping around for fun and want to save some money take a chance. If your using it as your main made of...

    Making my own ebike if....

I think I saw that Kroil, at NAPA I think, but passed because i never heard of it. Will give it a try! That Releasall is good stuff but im almost out. I might bring the frame to work this Friday. We have a heatwave coming our way and work has a massive vice in an air-conditioned lab!

The frame in question. Anodized aluminum post in 4130 steel frame and mid bottom bracket. Also, assorted weapons.

What goes bad in a rear hub ? Assuming decent quality part.

As indianajo said. And sometimes the hall sensor fails and will cause a jerkiness motion in the hub. I had a friend replace a whole rear wheel only to install the new wheel and have the same problem. He replaced the controller and the problem was solved. He now has a spare rear wheel. Another...

    Making my own ebike if....

I got my old Fairdale Taj 26" bmx bike back. I gave it to a friend and he rode the crap out of it but he locked it outside. He recently gave it back to me. As I tear into this stupid idea I have discovered the seat post is stuck in the frame and the bottom bracket (mid-drive) has a stuck arm...

    Have you tried cowboy coffee?

Found another Western themed drink to add to the list: Tractor Teas and fruit drinks. My wife and I went to Smash Wallet, I meant Smash Burger, for brunch. The Tractor brand drinks are pretty good!

    Which is better?

I have the pop-off pedals from Flat Bike as well. Now they sit in their little included bag since I really like the ones that come with Lectric ebikes. Easier to remove and install. Spin fine for pedals. I also think they're "base" model Welgos, cheaper version then the fancy (but nice) Welgos...

E-bike price increase due to new Tariffs ( non political thread) anyone hear how much?

I read 20% price increase. Thankfully I'm not in the buying market.
