Surprising that the split tool would not fit. My removal tool was a snug fit in the DNP freewheel before I cut it in half, and a easy drop-in fit after the surgery. It also fit fine in the Shimano (after the cut). But, as long as you got the swap done, it's all good! Enjoy your (improved) ride.

As a temporary cure for the fork issues, you should be able to lock the travel, converting it into a (rather heavy) fixed fork. I know I can do this on my Rad Mini, and I would assume they provided the same feature on the Rad City.

The RadMini axel might actually be 12mm. I was using a cheap set of calipers to measure. The male power plug is marked 8FUN, so the whole motor and power cord assembly might come this way from the BAFANG factory. Perhaps we can't blame Rad Power Bikes for this design snafu.
