Or both. You won't be disappointed in the performance of a Grin conversion. Some might complain about the price, but I look on an All-Axle motor as an investment in its own right.

I don't know about you, but I would be worried about leaving my $10k+ bike outside the pub. Though, you could do a Grin all-axle rear hub motor on your current bike, and have a torque sensing, regen braking, smooth and quite rolling super ebike for about two grand. And it's easily reversible.

In this corner of the Pacific Northwest it's been a mild winter. Most moisture is going to California. Our problem is a deficit of mountain snow, and that is our source of water and power. If things don't turn around soon it will be a difficult summer.

Overall, I think the battery looks pretty good. I wish I knew more about the BMS. Like, does it have a balancing function? Probably the shadiest thing electrically is the charger. At the moment I believe the BMS shut the battery down on overvoltage, and the culprit, I suspect, is the cheap...

It's been awhile since I've been on this thread. All was well in Oslo world, that is until my battery failed on my number one Oslo. I had charged up the battery, and when I went to turn on the bike it briefly lit up but then went dark. I figured that this was the endemic battery failure...

Well, he sold me on Lucid cars, but I would need to unretire to pay for one. That sure is whole a lot of batteries sitting under your bum.

Oh, I don't know about building batteries. I mean, you're looking at a bomb at your fingertips. Great skill to have, as all ev roads lead to the battery, but not something for the faint of heart.
