Since it won’t turn back on after the cutout issue and requires charging an already mostly charged battery it definitely sounds like a bad BMS inside the battery or you are exceeding the design of it. Does it only cutout after going up a few hills and getting hotter?

Good to hear they still have some parts. If you end up replacing the cable inside the frame, pull a string in as it’s coming out. When connecting the connector that ends up stored inside the frame put some tape on it to ensure it does not come loose especially when having to pull it out later.

What tire pressure are you running? Should be no less than 55 and preferably 60 in your rear tire. The front can be 50 to 60. This is mainly to prevent flats and spoke stress. I have close to 5k on my 2019 city and have had almost every problem imaginable. Fixed them all myself.

I’m guessing it’s like others, remove the battery and pry off the small rubber covers on the back of the battery. Use small screwdrivers to pry out the fuses. The size is either on it or goes by a color code. One is for charging and the other for the controller.

With the power OFF, push and release the walk mode about 20 times real hard and fast to essentially clean it. New switches often have a film inside. The PAS is programmed to ignore short pedaling and very slow pedaling. If it’s walk mode an indicator should be seen. The city has one.

This is what I have on a 2019 city. Does anyone know which one to change to eliminate this: When riding with a small amount of throttle then start pedaling in PAS 1 thru 4 while still holding the small amount of throttle, it takes off in full power.

Torque sensor? Which bike? Yes but strange, I can pedal some and cruise stays on but the pedaling does not add more watts. Then after several seconds of pedaling it shuts off the cruise. Mine is 12 magnets. Try cleaning the magnet ring, it does get tiny fragments of stuff that stick on the magnets.
