    Do I get an award?

Man, that's far from stupid. You noticed an issue and figured out what was wrong and fixed it. That's called learning my friend.

Would you take a test for possible dementia?

I would certainly take the test. Forewarned is forearmed as they say. Having the luxury of planning, developing adaptive strategies and seeking remedial help as needed are factors in my decision.

    New from California

Welcome to the forum. Are you primarily an urban rider or are you more focused on trail riding? I bought my ebike (Giant Explore +2) primarily for rails to trails riding, but I find myself riding in the city more that I thought. It's great for groceries and errands.

Atlantic Canada - Nova Scotia to offer $500 rebate on E-bikes

I received my $500. rebate a few days from the Nova Scotia program, so it does indeed function. You apply online with a scan of your receipt and include the serial number and lbs. Only bikes purchased locally apply sp no direct marketed bikes. Cheque arrived in a about 3 weeks. Apparently...

    Decision Making Time

Joe Analysis paralysis is real and I think you are in it bad, as was I before pulling the trigger this spring. I wanted lbs (local bike shop) support and a main like brand, even though they are more expensive than the direct marketed bikes. In the end, I decided on mid-drive for hill ability and...

Importance of buying from a local bike shop

CN: I am not offering it as an excuse for a retailer's shoddy work. I am saying it is tougher for a bike buyer when supply is short.

Importance of buying from a local bike shop

Buying from a local bike shop can be difficult with the shipping delays that many manufacturers are experiencing. I was able to do so, but had to wait 2 months with no way of trying the bike prior to delivery (Giant Explore E+2). My wife is waiting 8 months for her bike, a Trek Powerfly 4 in...

    E bike platform Hitch hauler.

Just for the record, I find the ramp useful as well. Good to know that HCooke finds the Easy Fold on Jeep Cherokee and has work around for the height of the F150 hitch.

    2021 Giant Roam E+ GTS 1st impressions...

A good review Sefutau. I recently bought another model Giant ebike and am pleased as well. I have not tried auto mode as yet and typically ride in eco except for steeper hills when I switch to more assist. The one concern I have is that the bars are a little wide, although I am smaller at...

    E bike platform Hitch hauler.

Hi there. I have a Thule Easy Fold as well and also like it on and off the car. It is very adaptable for various kinds of bikes and is secure for my ebike. My wife's ebike is still on order, so for now we carry one mechanical and one ebike. Off the car, it is compact and stores easily. The...

    Yamaha Drives Loud?

Dave makes a good point. It's not just the brand of motor but also the model. The comments I made earlier in the thread pertain to a Yamaha Syncdrive Sport on an Explore E2.

    Yamaha Drives Loud?

I have a 2021 Giant Explore +2. I have not experienced excess noise. There certainly is an audible electric motor sound, but I would not consider it noisy compared to some other mid-drive ebikes that I encounter. I typically also use eco-mode with occasional use of other levels. If anthing...

    Dave from Nova Scotia

Hello from a new member. I just received my new Giant Explore +2 and completed several rides totalling about 100 km. The Giant is my first ebike, but I am a long time road and touring cyclist. Age (68) and a health issue prompted me to enter the ebike world. My uses will be local...
