    Nyon 3.0 OTA firmware available

I was wondering what it was doing. That makes a lot of sense. And by "makes sense" I mean it matches the behavior I'm seeing, not that it is actually good or useful or anything.

    Quick Change Load 60/75 Tarpaulin

I've got a Load 60 with a Tarpaulin, mostly for cargo. However, sometimes I'd like to take my dog with me. The tarpaulin is not really made to be quickly changed (it's secured with screw nuts in the front). Has anyone replaced this mechanism with something quicker to deal with (snaps or magnets...

    Nyon 3.0 OTA firmware available

Oh man, I'm feeling this. I kind of wish I had read this to set my expectations lower. It's really bad. I think the thing that frustrates me most is that if I create a custom route, if I deviate just a little, it appears to pick a new, completely random route for the rest of the trip, even if I...

    Load 60 Second Battery Retrofit

I couldn't find someone who knew how or could do it, BUT I found another dealer that happened to have some new Load 60s with precisely the specs I was looking for, so that's the route I took. I'm not confident there is a way to do this - at least I could find no information about it. Clearly it...

    Load 60 Second Battery Retrofit

(To be clear: I know I could get a second battery and hot swap, and I might consider that, but it's not my first preference)

    Load 60 Second Battery Retrofit

There is a Load 60 at a local store that is ALMOST perfect for me. The only thing it lacks is dual battery. Anyone know if there is a way to retrofit a second battery or do I really have to custom order one of these things and wait 5 months?

    Turbo Vado 5.0 vs. 6.0

Ok. According to our local bike shop, it looks like there is not a 2020 Turbo Vado 6.0, so one on the website is the old (2019) one. Explains somewhat of the mystery. The bike shop had a 2018 6.0 for $4k, so I just grabbed that to replace the one that got stolen. It sounds like they will get...

    Turbo Vado 5.0 vs. 6.0

Yeah. The only thing I can see on the website doing a side-by-side is it looks like the 5.0 uses the 1.3 motor and the 6.0 uses the 1.2S motor. Not sure what is different there. The cost difference is $100. Very confusing.

    Turbo Vado 5.0 vs. 6.0

Agreed. I can only compare the 2020 5.0 and the 2017 6.0, as far as I can tell, but I might be missing something.

    Turbo Vado 5.0 vs. 6.0

Can anyone tell what the difference between the Turbo Vado 5.0 and 6.0 (2020 or 2019) is? My 2017 6.0 was stolen a few weeks ago. I bought that level originally because of the brake lights, really loud horn, mirror, etc. It was kitted out to be perfect for my commute. I'm wondering if the new...

    Mission Control Documentation and Support

I think at this point it's very unlikely they will ever release this capability

    Specialized Vado

Alright, folks. I spent $8 so you don't have to. An OTG specific cable didn't help. The behavior on two devices was the same - the phone acted as a USB drive host and I could see files on the bike computer. No charging. I don't think you can charge your phone on a Turbo Vado.

    Specialized Vado

Pedalling in "off" mode uses minimal battery to power the light and computer. It also feels like you are bicycling through sand.

    Specialized Vado

Normally my phone will present an option to switch modes if it's possible (it didn't in this case). For example, if I plug it into my laptop, I have an option to charge my laptop from my phone. However, for thoroughness I ordered an OTG cable to see if it makes a difference. Comes today. I'll...

    Turbo Vado 6.0 Mirror

I've had trouble with pictures on this forum, but there is a reasonably clear picture in the EBR review of the bike here: https://electricbikereview.com/specialized/turbo-vado-6-0/

    Specialized Vado

It is micro USB. I was able to use a micro-usb to usb-c cable (my phone is USB-C). When I plugged it into my phone I was able to see files on the computer (a license and readme or something similar), but my phone did not charge. Your mileage may vary. The port is square, so it doesn't look like...

    Vado 6 Battery install

The one I adjusted was on the battery. Apologies I'm not sure how to describe the procedure (I don't recall exactly what I did) but I was able to raise it. You might need to take it to your LBS to have them do the adjustment.

    Phone charge from computer display?

I tried it with a Pixel 2 XL. It tried to mount it as a drive (and I could see readme files on the display), but unfortunately no power.

    Vado 6 Battery install

I had this issue. It should snap in. On the top of the battery there is a small plate with a set screw. You can use that to raise and lower the plate (which is supposed to be a catch plate for the battery lock mechanism). I raised mine about 1mm. Works fine now!

    Turbo Vado 6.0 Mirror

I figured it out! I looked back in the box of extra bits my LBS included when they sent me home. I thought it was just garbage, but hidden under one of the cardboard flaps was a different arm! It's properly mounted now.
