    2020 Turbo Vado 5.0 w/Handbuilt Wheels

Looking good! You changed the seatpost and stem too. I guess the stem change was to get handlebars lower. I get neck pain when riding and will try handlebars with more rise. 40mm vs standard 15. I’m not at all sure this will help but will see if I hunch less. About the wheels You can now go...

Specialized Turbo Creo 28mph Electric Road Bike

Tuesday, June 2, I will test ride a Creo. I will leave my Vado at the Spec. Concept store for check up and adjustments ( incl. in bike price). When calling them to book my service I remembered I’d seen a medium size Creo in the shop. They confirmed that and booked a test bike for me. I think...

That brand name wouldn’t attract everybody in Sweden. Bög is a Swedish word for gay or perhaps more like fag. It’s not a unique situation with a product name that is more or less impossible in certain countries. I don’t have any example but I recall reading about car models that absolutely...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

A few days ago I changed tires on my Vado 5.0. Put on the original Trigger Sport tires. Mid August last year I had a local bike shop put on Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires. It was a quick decision because I had planned to go for a 3-4 day trip to the island Gotland and thought upgrading puncture...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

My explanation of when power comes on from standstill may not be right. It can just be that I misinterpret HOW the motor support comes on. I should clarify that I like that the Brose/Specialized isn’t abrupt but smooth in starting.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

How does the Planet 3 affect motor response when starting from standstill? My experience is that my Vado has to be in motion before the motor assist comes on. Just putting pressure on a pedal is not enough. I get the impression the software needs an input from the speed sensor.

    Vado speed

I think I would be willing to pay for a conversation with people from Specialized and have them explain their intensions regarding speed classes on Vado/Como models. On the Specialized US website I can’t find anything about 20mph or 28mph regarding Vado/Como.

Yeah you may be right about that. Sometimes changes doesn’t need to be very big to make a difference. Strange thing is that I can’t remember this neck problem from my first year with a Vado. I’ll have someone at Specialized Concept store look at my posture ( is that the correct word?) next...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

The new 48t on my first pic was on the bike as standard equipment but I had LBs change replace it to 40t before delivery. So now I have a new 48t lying around. I’ll keep it if I would change my mind but really don’t think I will.

No, it’s you but faster ;) Same thing happened to me when my first Vado was at LBS for service. I took out my regular hybrid bike I had used a few months earlier. My initial reaction was - There is something wrong with this bike!

Edit Sorry I now see I was way too late posting this. On Specialized chain ring there is a symbol. It’s difficult to see on the bike but possible if you look ”through the frame” and then press chain down to chain ring.

A few photos from yesterday. 39.5km. All pictures except for the last one, the sculpture, are shot just after the 15km mark on the map. Stopped for a break (first pic) and had coffee and a roll. The sculpture or art work is outside a water authority works. Nice afternoon but my neck...

    Specialized’s ultra-light 120-mile range e-bike - Turbo Vado SL

From the manual ” Always turn the bicycle off before connecting or disconnecting the charger or the RE from the charge port.” But I don’t have a Vado SL so I don’t know if the light goes on when charger is connected.
