    No, no progress. I'm convinced the lockring sensor just determines whether the motor is switched on or not. The speed limiter must be based on information coming from the hub. I'm hoping a "fix" becomes available that would at least enable the limit to be changed to the US settings. 32kmh...

    Yes, tried it. https://www.orbea.com/be-en/gear/spare-parts/cat/iman-sensor-velocidad-x35 It's my wife's bike (to keep up with me..). Battery used just over 20% on a 2hr 10m ride. Ride was a mainly flat (but windy weather) 53kms with a couple of rollers, average speed 24kmh.

    Removing 10 magnets definitely does not allow the bike to go at twice the speed. In fact it removed the ability of the sensor to trigger the motor at all. The software algorithm must cleverly detect the correct gap between pulses from the magnets...
